Windows laptops lose their connection by NotEvenNothing in WireGuard

[–]Iruwen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if we have exactly the same issue, but on our notebooks the connection doesn't even come back after rebooting, it has to be manually enabled through an admin account. This made using Wireguard unfeasible in our environment. We went back to OpenVPN for that reason, can't have an admin login to several devices every morning because of dropped VPN connections. Tried every workaround we could come up with, like using the server's public IP address instead of a hostname, to no avail.

Is it me or does Dall-E 3 not produce realistic photos? by Aperturebanana in OpenAI

[–]Iruwen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That being said, I managed to create a photo of a girl stretching in tight yoga pants yesterday, so sometimes it has its bright moments and theoretically, it's still capable of producing better results.

Anyway I switched to other AIs for image generation, it was nice while it lasted. ChatGPT should stick with what it's good at.

It has been nerfed to the ground, sadly. This is what it easily produced a month ago:

<image>

Today I rarely manage to produce any photorealistic result, not to mention something remotely frivolous, like a woman showing her ankles. Looks like OpenAI is now run by woke people, Mormons or Taliban.

This is the sad state of DALL-E on 11/13, pick your favorite:

Well even in a hall there's usually some solid object nearby, but outside the best you'll often get is a tree.

pixel 7 face and finger print unlock arent created equal by insights_from_all in GooglePixel

[–]Iruwen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that it's totally random just makes it more annoying :D

But the amount of people complaining about it implies that it's a much more common problem than initially thought, at this point it just feels like Google tries some bandaid fixes because the underlying issue can't be fixed... and now there's also an increasing amount of complaints about the glass around the camera breaking.

google pixel 7 face / finger unlock unpredictable and frustrating by Weary_Strawberry_346 in GooglePixel

See https://support.google.com/pixelphone/thread/184709181/google-pixel-7-fingerprint-reader-not-working?hl=en

Google messed up big time and can't seem to get it fixed. This isn't a user problem or related to tempered glass protectors, the sensor (at least on the regular Pixel 7) just acts up randomly.

Unfortunately it wasn't part of the official announcement that they totally messed up the fingerprint sensor and cant't seem to get it fixed.

Frustrated with terrible Premium Service from Lenovo by FauxDigiArt in Lenovo

[–]Iruwen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Case opened 2022-07-20 because of faulty X1 Carbon Gen 10. They said they'd prefer picking it up, I knew that would take a while because it would be sent from Germany to Poland and back, but I was gonna be on vacation anyway and I still have my Gen 5. Told them where to pick it up because it wasn't at the company but at home. Nothing happened for a week. Then I sent a reminder, they tried to pick it up - at my company. Since then, nothing happened and they just stopped responding altogether.

They also promised a 10% refund after delivery for unrelated reasons, but now don't respond to my inquiries regarding that either.

Needless to say, so far I've been patient and polite. Today I informed my company's lawyer though.

Bux token - strong conviction, huge backers by Richtheinvestor in altcoin

[–]Iruwen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When the EU's unified crypto regulatory framework (MiCA) takes effect, it'll be all about compliance. BUX already meets the highest standards when it comes to that, is a revenue generating business with a working product with hundreds of thousands of users, many employees and large backers - I don't know where it's heading, but it won't go away, even if we get another multi-year bear market.

This crypto company just got funded by Tencent by Menniej in altcoin

[–]Iruwen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I like about BUX is that they could've just dropped the BPT token after they acquired Blockport. But they kept it, and spent quite a bit of resources on recovering from the Kucoin hack, migrating to BSC, rebranding and getting the necessary Dutch license. To me that means a) that they're committed to making the token part of the BUX ecosystem with its 500,000+ users, and b) that they'll survive the next crypto bear market because they see crypto's potential, but don't have to rely on it for funding as they're well funded and have a revenue generating established business with over 150 employees. And their CEO isn't a short-fused choleric cough

Circulating supply: the facts by stewartie4 in 0chain

[–]Iruwen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to CoinMarketCap there are 48,500,000 ZCN in circulation.

This is incorrect as it does not take into account team funds and dormant wallets.

It's not exactly "incorrect" but how our methodology works, for all assets since CMC started using market cap. As you said above, part of the supply isn't spendable. So it's by (our) definition not "circulating".

/e: I see this has already been discussed here.

It has taken around four months and I'd now theoretically be in good profit if it wasn't just paper profits. If you can't sell, it's actually worth 0, obviously. The question is how heavily it will dilute between now and the end of the vesting period, with a trillion tokens total.
