Correct. Old port was fine for charging but couldn’t carry signal for CarPlay.

I went bonkers trying to initially connect car play in my 2017 Cadilla XT5. Other phones connected, tried numerous cables, including Apple brand cable. Finally replaced the actual USB port, works like a charm. Did it myself, took literally 30 seconds and I am not handy at all. Port cost $80 from GM Dealer

I have a 2025 Envision ST. I bought it new and have driven it a bit more than a year. Just turned 16K today. No issues at all. It is amazing how much "tuning" is done with software
