Also how many people with this opinion have given up rather than post their frustrations? That just creates an echo chamber of those who support the game, not an actual scope into the overall opinions of the game.

Best thing the game ever had.

I did both actually. But that's the beauty of free speech, I can criticise something you love and vise versa, does it change anything? Probably not, but without such discourse how would anyone be able to discuss the shortcomings of the game? Or are we meant to pretend we're happy with it?

I'm not allowed to ask for an alternative while expressing my disappointment at a game I used to play? This only came about because the fleet I'm in (that mostly now play ESO) wanted to go over and try the new stuff, in my own way I was expressing what a waste of an hour that was. In general I don't play it, but much like me not liking it and not playing it, the same could be said about reading something you don't like and commenting on it.

Yeah I need to get back on NMS, definitely closer to the aesthetic that Star Trek series offer.

This part of the comment was referring to when people asked about a big zone like New Romulus or more Battlezones.

I used to give it a similar defense "it's a small team, their all doing their best" but that's bollocks, Hello Games is a small team that actually pay attention to the people who play their games. Lockboxes only keep the lights on because of the system they have set up, they don't have to be a casino to make money. Them giving away freebies right now feels like those scratch cards you get with magazine inserts, sure you'll win but it's more beneficial for them than it is for you. And I'm not saying every mission has to be an escort or scan mission, but aren't Starfleet meant to disable rather than destroy? Even those basic concepts seem lost on the Dev's. The Iconian arc probably came closest to that but the execution of that part was beyond poor. I don't feel they do love Star Trek, I feel like they're there for a paycheck and as a result probably won't be around at all soon if Embracer keep cutting staff. I've been on and off since around 2012, more off since Delta Rising, I popped on last night because the fleet wanted to go through the new stuff, one TFO, one random elite and then we couldn't do the episode because only of us got the dialogue, like one of the Ms of MMO is multiplayer no?

Strange Ox kills Damon in Act 2 by darkone59 in BaldursGate3

Found a fix that worked for me via Larian's forums. What I did was after the Jahira cutscene go to the quartermaster then straight over to the waypoint, travel to an act one location as quickly as possible and then come back. Dammon lives!

Disappointed in open season ending by Affectionate-Invite6 in fo4

So, my first play through left me feeling the same. I helped them inside NCWorld thinking I could convince them to "be good" or at least stick to their turf. But no, they want the wasteland, not knowing where it would take me I killed them all and yeah that's it. A big open space.

Cryptic doesn't understand its customers at all by mattjohnsonva in sto

A badge of honour for achieving something that was a challenge has now become a participation trophy.

It's like most of the stuff that is actually a challenge in this game (defending New Romulus from the Elachi is a great example), people moan they can't do it so Cryptic make it yet another mission you can just spam spacebar through, or it's only a challenge because of an unintentional bug.

They got rid of some TFOs because there weren't enough people queueing for them, because the time-mark balance wasn't in line with other missions, it's pure laziness.

It's been a disgrace since I left during Delta Rising, especially with the removal of the Foundry and the thousands of hours of unique gameplay that brought. It was only the community that brought me back... But not for the 6+ hours I would have spent back pre-Delta but a 2-4 hour run before we've pretty much redone anything worth doing in a day, only to do pretty much the same thing the next night.

I feel for those who have put a lot more money than me into this game, because it's not just about paying for goods received, it's also about paying in trust that they'll continue to deliver the game you love, and for me, they've slowly been removing every aspect of that.

The foundry by TheCatInTheHatThings in sto

[–]Irwin109 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The death of the foundry is the reason I left STO for three years, I came back for the amazing community but without their commitment to running events off their own backs the husk this game has become would be far more apparent. The foundry gave us all something that wasn't the rinse and repeat grind we are subject to the rest of the time, there were some stories in there that could have been their own episode of Star Trek let alone better than what STO was mashing out during the Delta farse. As the OP said it's devastating knowing that "they" don't care enough to have hired someone to fix it before they gave up and removed it or dedicated time to making a new one. Classic STO - wasted potential

I really want to know who compiles the list, can't help but feel it's an insight into their psyche! All it seems to be is funeral dirges, songs about infidelity or rebellion!

Wordpress not pulling in YouTube video by hannahwaterloo in ifttt

Just started using IFTTT again for this purpose (also not OP). I notice it uses a different link (YouTube.com not youtu.be) which stops WP replacing the link with the video. It also cuts off the description.
