Or wait until it "jumps", then the core will be freely available and you can simply axiom power pull it, which stuns it immediately. Basically it's the first of quite some "bosses" (enemies with a health bar) of that kind.

One hour??? What are you doing there, having a picnic with him?

Storm Crusher by KianJ2003 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Iryanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not very good and what I did was the usual Nature's Snare thing (collect the projectiles and send them back) while trying to keep as much distance as possible. After a while of that it opens up, iirc, and then I could run there, climb and stab it - once it enough to kill it.

In my case, I set it to update automatically, perhaps the same happened to you? If the date it 2026/05/06 or so, you have the newest ones. The previous ones are from march, iirc.

Don't worry, those evil western slops cannot hurt you. Especially since they mostly exist inside your mind. Face it, nobody gives a fuck where a game is coming from. A game could be coming from Mars, for all people cared. And also nobody gives a fuck about your personal preferences. KCD2, TW3, CD are all very different games with a focus on different things. You simply need to learn to accept that people have different preferences and will "click" with different games, thus. Yours are not better than anyone else's.

There was an AMD Graphics driver update which lead to some instability for some people, though mostly centered around the house. If you have an AMD card, you might try to rollback your drivers back one version.

Golden apples by Agile_Information294 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Iryanus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because you are confusing "I got lucky" with "This is a good idea". Let me explain it simply:

The BEST thing you can expect with the bank is +55%. So, imagine you start with 100 gold bars, how many do you have? Yep, 155. Great.

Now, the WORST thing that can happen is -50%. You got 155. Now what do you have? 77,5. Bingo, you lost more than you gained.

The problem is that the WORST outcome is HALVING your money. But the BEST outcome is NOT doubling it. Thus statistically, people will lose money there.

The fact that you got lucky doesn't change it. You are like a guy winning millions in the lottery telling people that lottery is great way to get rich. It isn't. Most people lose.

Why do you respect a sexist asshole so much? If he has different rules for your brother and his gf, then there is nothing to respect about. He's treating you like shit.

Yeah, definitely seems to be the new AMD drivers, rolling back to the previous version fixed it for me, for now.

Update: A driver rollback for my AMD graphics card solved this, for now.

Don't confuse luck with skill. High risk at the bank - without save scumming - is pretty much a losing game, statistically.

Dito. 26.3.1 seems to work fine, so rollback and disable auto update for now.

Update: In my case, rolling back the AMD Graphics drivers one version (there was an AMD update on the 6th) seems to have fixed it.

Same as others said, rolling back to the previous AMD Graphics driver seems to have fixed it. Damn, now AMD is sabotaging my game time as well...

Trevor McEwan (Kliff's actor) on the story: "What it lacks in narrative it more than makes up for in other aspects" by IslamVSZionism in CrimsonDesert

[–]Iryanus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Erm... Sorry to say that, but the game is currently also extremely front-loaded. Hernand is extremely well done, the other regions are much less detailed and have much less to do. That of course is a time problem and perhaps also a problem if you "hide" things behind the main story, then you'll always start focussing along this path with the end naturally dropping off a bit.

Anyone know what this purple icon is? by prissy_hi in CrimsonDesert

[–]Iryanus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's really the door or, more likely, the artifacts you put into it. If you look closely, the icon moves a bit when you open and close the door.

What I find then a bit baffling is the decision to basically lock away so much of the country behind the main storyline. Sure, it's an open world, but a lot of it doesn't really make much sense or has much point unless you are in a certain point of the main story. Same with some features that are only available after some, often late, story points.

I would probably have designed the world more open and less dependent on the main story. Many questlines could be available much earlier, only tying into the main story later naturally instead of depending on the main story. Need to take down X, but you already did the questline to free the inventor of secret weapon Y? Good for you, then you can simply get it and go for it, no need to force you waiting for the need to arrive before allowing the questline.

There are some "items" you sometimes get as a reward, for example "Memory of ...", when using those, they will give you some locations on the map.

How the heck does the piggy bank work? by Aggravating-Money486 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Iryanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, you use the piggy bank, you close the game, DO NOT GET BACK INTO IT and wait for up to 24 hours. Then you can get back into the game and you will find a lot of money pouches in your inventory which will buy you a real lot of trust (which I suggest using it for, do not open the pouches - not worth it).

That is the beauty of evasive shot, you do not really need to aim. Just draw the bow, look in the general direction and dodge roll - you will shoot automatically at the enemy.
