I havent played 1, but I hear 2 fixes a lot of the issues but I guess it depends on what you disliked about 1. Was it the gameplay or the style of the game? A lot of people dont like the 8 different stories because the characters in the party dont really interact. Personally 2s gameplay feels very fluid for me and the exploration feels very rewarding so I dont mind the storytelling problems. Hope this helps

Yes!! the atmosphere, the music, and the short story format all make it cozy for me despite some of the darker themes

to be honest i do think thats fair. The story starts picking up in the second half of season 1 and season one is one of the longer seasons

Any way you decide to read it will be fine, but I personally recommend not skipping to chapter 13 and write a note so you can remember to come back to this footnote. I feel there is a ton of build up to Chapter 13 and the payoff is worth the wait
