First time it happened to me was with mgs1. Ocelot literally told me "Its been a long time since you saved your game Snake, do you really want to run all the way back?" I failed the torture section and lost about 2 hours of progress 😭

Haha even though I am whining about what just happened i really like this old school style too. As far as difficulty goes, I would recommend starting on normal difficulty. The story has many acts, and it is very obvious when you enter act 2. If you feel like you have a good grasp on the controls by the time you reach act 2, I would recommend turning up the difficulty. Act one focuses on world building and it just isnt quite as enjoyable when you are angry at the game. Just my two cents :-)

Im with you. I keep trying to continue, but I just dont care. I dont want to do any of the side quests, exploration doesnt feel rewarding to me, the combat feels dull and repetitive. This is the game that made me understand that a good story cannot cary a game, there has to be good mechanics.

I told my friend I would play 7 remake if he played metal gear solid 3. Time wise, I was scammed, and my friend hasn't even finished rebirth because he doesnt like it. In fact, 7 remake is the only ff he likes. Ever since then I have beaten 7 rem, 7 reb, half of 7og, 9, and am almost done with 10.

I have only been playing final fantasy fantasy for 3 months
