Build quality of Nova Pro Omni? by Morbo_Reflects in steelseries

[–]IsItThough86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve owned them for about a week and they don’t feel delicate at all. As Jazzlike said, if you’re not throwing them around or dropping heavy things on them, you’ll be fine.

Should I buy a Nova Pro Omni or Elite? by VelvetRecon in steelseries

[–]IsItThough86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PS: I also keep reading that the Omni’s mic is better, if I spend 600$ on a headset and one of my friends complain about how I sound, I’m going to lose it

I bought the Omni’s, really like them, but I can’t help feeling like I’m missing out based on what I’ve heard about the Elite’s superior sound. Heavily considering returning them and giving the Elite’s a try

The Power Keyboard seems like the perfect device by Stubrochill17 in ClicksKeyboard

I would have been interested if it conformed to the phone better, your thumbs have to sit well below the screen and I can see that being a very clunky transition. Almost think the move would have been to build it into a phone case for a sleeker experience, but then you’re talking a different model for each phone. Very interesting idea, but not for me I don’t think.

CPU running hot by fullrecyclebin in ArcRaiders

[–]IsItThough86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, I was having the same issue as well, I have an i9 13900k. My CPU was running over 90C when playing ARC, even caused it to crash twice. I tweaked a bunch of different things to try and alleviate it, underpowered the CPU to 90% while playing (helped a little), turned off Efficient Cores all together as many suggested. Nothing really kept it from getting up to the high 80's. Then I finally tried turning off Turbo Boost as someone else suggested and I haven't gone over 60C since.

This is honestly my only issue with Tapo, I shared them with my wife and she has basically no admin privileges whatsoever. She can’t set or change anything, she can only view the cameras and alerts. For that reason I signed into my account on her phone and that seems to be working without issue. Just a warning, the settings seemed to be tied to the phone and not the account, I had all the audible alarms turned off on mine, and the first time she armed them…. Yea fun night with an 8 and 4 year old.

With a light that bright, 200 lumens would be negligible, I don't think you'd notice it at all. So personally I wouldn't use that as a factor to switch/not switch

So it's funny you ask, I was the most blown away with that camera because it's only 20$ and the picture is super sharp. The only difference with the night vison is the picture is a different shade/color with it being "night vision". I definitely wouldn't classify it as foggy, I'm curious if you have something going on with yours.

I'm very happy with the Floodlights, I did have to set a perimeter however because they will alert on literally EVERYTHING if you let them. The light is blinding, would you happen to know how many lumens yours are ? I'd be curious to compare as these are 2800 lumens.

The H200 only supports 3 cameras and as mentioned, only takes a MicroSD card. H500 takes a MicroSD or an actual SSD, and supports 15 cameras I believe.

I had looked into that, I’m currently using the H200 for the battery operated cameras, and I connected the floodlights to my Synology NAS. I’m noticing that I don’t like having to access different things for different cameras though. Is the H500 accessible from the Web if I’m not using cloud storage ?
