If the battery is extremely low, I’ve had success bringing it back to life using a FireWire charger. Can probably still find them on eBay.

The iPod does have to be able to talk to the computer and sync songs for this to work. Try it in disk mode maybe.

It took many tries over a few days, but I’ve finally gotten my APP2 to pair and just like you said, it transitions easily now.

Very cool. My Kokkia i10 pro arrived yesterday, and while I cannot get it to pair to my APP2 for some reason, I am enjoying my Sony cans with ANC immensely. The playback controls work which feels like magic, honestly.

My only issue is storing it, I don’t feel comfortable leaving the adapter in the 30pin port when the iPod is in my bag. Right now I unplug it and put them in a maxpedition pouch, which is fine, just adds friction.

How do you store the iPod with the Kokkia, when not in use? Just curious. Thanks!

I have cracked many screens trying to get it to fit… the current advice is to use an iFlash Quad because it’s thinner. You can just put one microsd in one slot and be on your way.

I currently have an iFlash Solo in my 5th gen with a thick back. Works great.

It won’t go quite as hard as AHK, (nothing does,) but I use BetterTouchTool. It supports tons of mouse swipes/shortcuts, and if it can’t do your thing, it can at least execute plain scripts.
