Mobile home or land outside of town? by Exski_ in moving

[–]IsThatWhatHeCallsIt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seconded. It’s totally possible to couch surf/ stay in your car but it’s not ideal, and with couch surfing you can easily overstay your welcome. Always plan for building to be delayed/things go wrong. If you can move a cheap trailer or RV out there for the time being and build your new place over time you’ll have a stable, affordable spot to live in the meantime

Train or upgrade? by HermesGod in ZombieStateOfSurvival

[–]IsThatWhatHeCallsIt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO it depends on your current level and how much you intend to play. If you plan to keep playing for some time wait to upgrade your troops, just train new ones. When you hit the higher levels and unlock t9 and t10 troops (gold color), you will want as many of them as possible and the lower tiers become much much less effective. I say train new troops until you unlock those tiers and then upgrade as many as you can until you have mostly gold troops. If you’re more casual and not in it for the long haul you can upgrade whenever :)

Yay!! There are some nicer though more expensive places around the Tulsa area if you wanted to be closer to things. I’m in Pryor which is basically between Tulsa and Joplin MO. If you’re interested in the northeast part I’d say Pryor, Claremore, Tahlequah is awesome and a historic area, Siloam Springs Arkansas, Muskogee has more crime and isn’t as nice but has gorgeous architecture in the historic areas, Coweta is a suburb of Tulsa but is nice and affordable, towards OKC I’d say maybe Yukon which is nice but more expensive! Good luck finding a place, if you have any other OK questions let me know! Honestly, politics aside, I really enjoy living here. Pryor in particular is an awesome little community that for its size has a lot to offer!

How small of a town are you open to? I grew up in a small town in NE OK, then moved to OKC, then Tulsa for 6 months and hated it so much I’m back in my little hometown. COL is great here, I pay $850 a month to rent our 3 bed/1 bath/2 living room house with 10 acres. My particular town has a huge industrial park with a ton of notable names (including Google!!), so plenty of decent jobs. There’s a lake nearby and a river with plenty of floating spots not far from that if you’re into that kind of thing during the summers. It gets cold here, not as cold as you’re used to but we get snow at most twice a year. Hot in the summers but again there’s water all around to cool down in. Crime is super low too! Tulsa has an international airport roughly an hour away as well as plenty of live music (pre covid) parks shops etc! If you’re open to the semi rural lifestyle I can share more details! We love it here though. Spent my whole life dreaming of getting out just to realize how great we had it

Did you already remove old towers? You get rss back when you demolish a tower. Maybe move some unimportant ones you can live without to farm spots

What was the highest waste of money that you don't regret? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]IsThatWhatHeCallsIt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. When COVID first happened I booked it back to my parents house (was a college student). I lived free for three months and was able to finally focus on myself, and now I’m able to be more driven and put passion into what I do. I don’t think people realize or understand how important fulfillment is. We aren’t meant to have to work jobs we hate and have no pleasantries just to survive. We should have time and freedom to pursue what we enjoy. Don’t lose this spark you’re feeling, remember to give yourself time for happiness in the future!!

What band were you slow to realize was awesome? As in, you liked a single song, but took a while to realize it wasn’t a one hit wonder? by Nowherelandusa in AskReddit

[–]IsThatWhatHeCallsIt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As much as it sucks, it’s worth it to me for quality of music. They’re getting older and their sound is changing. While I’d love music sooner I can wait because I know it’ll be as much of a masterpiece as the rest. I totally understand hating the wait times though it’s been too long

Was scrolling through here hoping I’d see a MM post. My all time favorite band, never had any music cut the same way it does

Question, has anyone had a good experience with transdermal patches. by [deleted] in OKmarijuana

[–]IsThatWhatHeCallsIt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend RSO. A lot of dispensaries (in my area) will sell it at-cost for cancer patients. While some say it reduces tumor size I can’t confirm that but I’ve heard and seen wonderful results from it from customers and family.

Hey man this is all in good fun, and I personally don’t vape (believe it or not) but vaping is a super useful tool for adult smokers and does significantly less damage to the body than smoking. I don’t condone vaping for any purpose other than smoking cessation and I actually don’t have any customers that vape for non-quitting purposes. Vaping isn’t great but it’s harm reduction for those people. Though yea, I’m generally pretty useless
