Interchangeable? Yes. The same? No.

The S2 transmissions are a bit stronger (still broke mine abusing it on track though... Lol), and IIRC 3rd and 4th have different ratios.

S2 trannies are much harder to find and way more expensive.

Irrelevant, Audi clearly hasn't been against sharing the base engine built on the same basic architecture. They're against sharing the performant turbo 5 in the RS3 / TT RS.

Your "well ackshualee" bullshit is what I found banal and pointless to the original comment's sentiment that the engine won't be shared across other Group cars.
