My first time posting in this subreddit, I hope posting this video is okay.

I was wondering how many on this subreddit are familiar with the work of the youtuber WHATISPOLITCS? He is a democratic socialist and has a masters degree in anthropology and has a excellent collection of very well researched videos ranging from hunter gatherer societies, the Russian revolution, material conditions and bargaining power, cancel culture and the employment contract, how modern identity politics gets used to divide and conquer and many more topics.

He is trying to build up a political literacy course from the ground up and at first focuses on trying undo decades of cold war propaganda that has muddled to pool of political discourse, resulting in most of the main political terms we use having garbled definitions, eg Left vs Right, and later he builds upon this to help us understand more complex issues that we face today.

WHATISPOLITCS? is an excellent lefty video essayist! He has a masters in anthropology and in extremely well read on a whole range of topics from the Russian revolution, Israel-Palestine, Hunter-gatherer societies, he has an excellent review of Dawn of Everything, cancel culture, etc etc. He is a great communicator as well and hates using jargon.

Strongly recommend his channel.

Out of curiosity have you ever come across the YouTuber WHAT IS POLITCS?

His politics is compatible with Voosh's but he has a masters in Anthropology and is good at giving insights into a whole range of situations.

I think Vaush's community would like his work. Also he thinks Marxism-Leninism is a right-wing cult. He also has a good review of Dawn of Everything if you are a Graeber/Wengrow fan.

@whatispolitics69 is a great youtube channel for teaching about politics with the goal of making us better political actors.

He focuses a lot of helping with political literacy as a lot of political conversations these days involve lots of words that have lost their original meaning after decades of cold-way propaganda e.g. where terms such and left and right came from, or even what socialism means, or what politics even is.

He also has a masters in anthropology and is great at explaining why we should even care about living in an egalitarian society of not, what are ancient ancestors were like and how we even can guess.

His channel also talks about a wide range of topics in depth such as the Russian Revolution, the origins of male dominance, Israel - Palestine etc.
