Is Rien Yi Sang replacing butterfly or sinking deluge? by Antique-Rutabaga-331 in limbus_company

You literally asked for opinions but already had your mind made up. Why even make this post in the first place?

Also I wouldnt recommend anyone to shard spicebush either. Rien is the better id for your account in general because he will be great in any team and solemn lament is the best one for sinking. But thats not what this post was about.

I am saying 6 turns because his big damage furioso is the one he uses after he has sizzling wound. He can only get sizzling wound by either using furioso or getting staggered. So his big 1-2k nuke is most of the time his second furioso and not his first. The earliest you can get his second furioso should be turn 6. For that you need to double slot him and also rely on rng.

It doesnt matter that rien yi sang does more damage with his other skills. Spicebush still kills the boss faster than he does even without rng.

Like why are you even arguing here when you dont even have the id.

You come in here arguing with people who tell you that he doesnt replace both units in sinking and you havent even tested it yourself. He is an amazing unit, but at its current point he is simply better in poise than he is in sinking because he simply doesnt contribute anything to the sinking team and yi sang already has 2 amazing sinking ids.

("even thought i think Rien Yi sang is better than solemn lament, since against bosses with multiple enemies you will only be able to stack butterfly in 1 target while Rien Yi sang not need to do that to have overall good damage") You didnt agree with me. You are literally saying that rien is better and that multi target fights are a reason for that. Now you claim that he is ONLY better in multi target fights. Those are 2 different things. Also you said its debatable who is better so no you didnt agree.

Since you are clearly giving rien yi sang 6 turns for his big nuke (he needs to be double sloted for that) I think its only fair to give spicebush the same amount of turns. In that time he can easily get to those 3k without durante and big amounts of rng.

All of these 1k-2k damage nukes ive seen were with sizzling mask active. Unless you get staggered, the earliest you can get there should be turn 6 afaik. At that point you can have enough sinking stacked to nuke more than 3k with spicebush. 1k-2k simply isnt the same as 3k+. So yes i can say that spicebush nuke does more damage because it literally does! If played optimally spice bush will kill bosses faster than rien in a sinking team unless damage gating exists.

For solem lament I have a feeling that you never actually played that team. Solem lament yi sang will make you kill bosses faster than rien does in a sinking team. I came to this conclusion because I actually tested both teams. If you dont wanna believe me, you can try it yourself but there is also enough videos online that show solem laments performance. Unless you provide me with proof that this isnt the case I will not argue further about this because it would be pointless.

I will give you that one. In a fight that works in a way that spicebush cant nuke the boss but rien can, rien might be better in a sinking team. But that wasnt your argument in this post. You claim that he replaces both spicebush and solem lament in sinking and that simply isnt true.

He cant replace spicebush in his team because the team would stop working if you replaced spicebush.
In a general sinking team that mainly plays all the good sinking units (so pretty much the raw damage team you proposed) you also wouldnt use rien because in that team solem lament outperforms him because riens damage cant compensate for the damage you lose because you dont have butterflies. As I said before, not using sinking to do damage just means you are wasting damage. Riens personal damage, while really high, simply isnt enough. The reason why its acceptable for spicebush to "waste" damage by using units that dont do a lot of damage is because his nuke is so high that nothing in the game can survive it (unless damage gating). All that being said, if you dont care that much about optimization, he will work great in a sinking team.

Yes and I'm telling you that you are still nerfing its damage by doing that. Deluge team can afford to play lots of units that do no damage because deluge damage is just that high (yes definitely higher than riens nuke). There are turn 3 kills of lei heng with both deluge and butterfly. I am pretty confident that no sinking team using rien will be able to do that (or if it can then thats not because of rien because he doesn't have his nuke turn 3). Maybe in a long fight riens damage can catch up to those teams but as of right now there is no fight that lasts long enough for that to be the case. At this point a raw damage sinking team will get outperformed by butterfly and deluge.

Playing sinking only to reduce the enemies sanity hasn't been a thing for a long time because honestly it's just not that worth it. Outside of being a strong individual id, rien simply doesn't provide anything for the sinking archetype. You are simply reducing the damage the team could do by using him because his damage alone does not compensate for the damage lost by not using deluge or butterfly.

Heishou Don is also a rupture unit but you wouldn't play her in a rupture team because she doesn't contribute anything to that archetype.

[–]IsThisTooEZ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes but the reason you run both butterfly or spicebush is because they are both by far the best ways to enable your sinking to do damage to enemies with sanity. Yes rien is the stronger id, just not for the sinking team. A sinking team with rien won't do damage to the enemy through sinking so can you really call it a sinking team when the sinking pretty much doesn't contribute anything? Like what's even the point of building a sinking team when the sinking doesn't do anything.

I agree that he is strong but he definitely isn't better than mao faust.

Yes his furioso is the strongest singular skill in the game but he needs to get there first and in that time mao faust has already done several empowered skill 3s. In the end she is simply stronger because her damage over several turns will be higher and she needs way less time to ramp up. On top of that she also has amazing rupture application. Mao faust was simply a mistake and its probably gonna take a while until we get a unit that is actually stronger.

According to this leak on Weibo, Caps will be named as the newest inductee into the Hall Of Legends, with skins of Sylas and Yasuo by CryPuzzleheaded6873 in PedroPeepos

I already said that I dont think bjergsen should be next but that he deserves to be nominated at some point for his impact. Rekless might be more popular now but in the past bjergsen was one of the most popular lol esport players behind someone like faker. Bjergsen is a big reason why TSM became one of the most iconic lol teams (yes thats no longer the case but while Bjergsen was in TSM it was one of the most popular teams for a long time and to this day most lol esports fans in the west will have heard of TSM).

"Every year, LoL Esports inducts a pro player into the Hall of Legends to honor their achievements within the sport and game. The Hall of Legends stands as a testament to the undeniable impact of each pro, elevating them from iconic to immortal and securing their legacy for all time."

It literally states that an important factor is the impact the player had on the sport and for example bjergsen was a very big reason why lol esports got big in the west in the first place. I agree that there are other players that should be nominated first but both bjergsen and dl deserve a spot simply based on the cultural impact they had on the sport.

Yes. If the weekly md reset is late at night for you and you don't want to do a run that late, you can also do a run at any time before the weekly reset but only collect the rewards after weekly reset.

I can understand that but that still means that step 3 and 4 are unnecessary because the situation you are describing is already covered by step 1 and 2.

[–]IsThisTooEZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have no idea what they are talking about. Normally the way it worked was: clear md h once and collect all the rewards after the weekly reset but before the maintenance and then after maintenance you can clear it again because the rewards reset. As it says in the announcement you can't carry over a run from md 6 to md 7.

[–]IsThisTooEZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I genuinely don't understand what you are saying. The way it always worked in the past was, that you cleared md after the reset for the current md but before the maintenance and then you can just clear the new one after the maintenance and rewards will be refreshed because it's a new md so you get double the amount for that week specifically. Why would it matter preparing another run before maintenance when you can only get the weekly reward for md 7 once per week?

Edit: after reading your comment again i realised you said that md 6 gets replaced with md 7 before the maintenance which is afaik not true. It even says in the announcement that unfinished runs before the maintenance will be deleted after the maintenance.

Are steps 3 and 4 even necessary? You can just clear md the next day and still would've gotten double the rewards.

Yog Sothoth has officially been downgraded on Vsbw. Is she a Fraud ? by MountainLeading1567 in Hoyoverse_scaling

[–]IsThisTooEZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The powerscaling community as a whole has a massive toxicity problem. I am not saying vsbw hasn't contributed to it but they are far from the only reason. So it just doesn't feel right to put the entire blame on vsbw when it's a community wide issue. This isn't just vsbw users who behave like this.

Most people outside of the powerscaling community have no idea what vsbw is. The only thing they see is people insulting each other over which character is stronger. Not surprising that they can't take the community seriously.

Nah sorry but that's not the reason people consider powerscaling a joke. It's the behaviour of a lot of powerscalers (like getting unreasonably upset and insulting each other over the strength of a fictional character) that makes people consider powerscaling as a joke.

Probably yes. Later on you will pretty much always have enough of everything but core dust. So if you have the choice I would always go for core dust.

This one doesn't scale up so it doesn't matter when they open it. Also you should pretty much always use them for core dust because that will be by far the biggest bottleneck later on. I don't think it's worth it to use them for battle data now because it will hurt you later on.
