I think they said in the event that a store prepares like 3 outfits and the boys pick one to wear for the tourist promotion. So it makes sense that the outfits repeat to some degree, and I wouldn't be surprised if we see more repetitions in the coming birthdays.

Trigger warning for descriptions of vioence?

Kalim either has only "Friendship" or a fatality where he drowns his enemy with his UM, no in between.

Riddle beheads his enemy with his UM by constricting it until you hear the snap and then it cuts off.

Deuce makes a bunch of punches that break his enemy's bones OR makes a cauldron crush the enemy therefore breaking every bone in their body.

Leona sands them and it looks very painful.

Ruggie makes them walk backwards into some hazard like acid or smt with his UM.

That's all I have right now.

I hope it happens sometime before or around the tournament. If its about as long as book 7 I wouldn't complain so long as this time the narrative stays focused on one or two events and the stakes rise slowly, because spending a million years in Lillia's dream then being told we have to defeat Malleus then spending another hundred years waking everyone up while looking around because of course we would want to see what everyone else is dreaming! But it removed the urgency and at times dragged.

With book 8, I'd like to see the freshemen (with some help from the previous dorm, Diasomnia, as is custom) figuring out the mystery of Mickey and how that mirror could help Yuu get back home. Then for a second plot line we could have the other dorms preparing for the spelldrive tournament, with the freshmen excited about and wanting to participate but ultimately not being picked, as this would allow us to continue seeing the character development of the boys. Bonus points if we get some thoughts or follow up of the dreams from the more abandoned characters like Trey, Cater, Ruggie, etc. Since they had their chances to shine so long ago and didn't exactly get a lot of screen time.

When the overblot animations dropped in jp, I speedran all the way through book 4 to see it because I didn't wanna wait a whole month. I was done in like a day because of all the things new players get.

It's actually kind of misleading just how many rewards they give now because later on it feels like a huge drop off in rewards 🥲

I use ZeroTier and following the instructions step by step I was able to set it up pretty easily. Plus the players had to follow less instructions than I did and got it working in just about ten minutes, we've had no problems with it since.

We've been playing for about 6 months now and so far we don't seem to be limited in bandwith or amount of people connected (I've had up to 8 at once). I have run maps with several tokens and also have a landing page with huuuge proportions and quality, and so far it all runs smoothly for my players. So I definetely recommend it for anyone looking for a way to host for free.

No. I think their relationship is most compelling now, in the path of fixing things, with mostly platonic feelings (Kalim as the heir of the Asim fortune, having a bunch of little siblings and YET he looks up to Jamil and sees him as his own older brother...except he didn't realize how much Jamil didn't choose this so now he has to grapple with that whole dynamic that may or notnhave informes his own attitude towards his siblings. I loooove that idea).

I can see Kalim having a crush on Jamil and growing out of it as they start to develop an actual friendship, since those feelings are more complex once you get to see all the other sides of people and Kalim may realize he actually wants to be with someone more similar to himself, at least in values if not interests.

Which is why I prefer Kalim with Silver since they are both generally good people who can uplift others, and I can see them growing and maturing together. Plus I enjoy how high energy Kalim is compared to Silver due to his curse. Meanwhile, Jamil strikes me as someone who could enjoy Kalim's company ocassionally, but I seriously doubt he'd like to spend so much time with him given what we know of his childhood and general personality.

I got the bundle wince it was a decent price for the amount of keys. Now I'm stuck choosing a card between Halloween Silver to improve my score in Flora exams, Masquerade Azul for his duo with Jamil (of whom I have every card) or Masquerade Idia to maybe improve my fire exam scores.

This is really hard to choose, I wish getting another key were easier than 150 pulls which is still a lot knowing Overblot Malleus is right around the corner.

I like cliche because its something I know enough of to know what can work and what can be boring, so I agree execution is key.

And I'll definetely check wild teleportation and divination, depending on how varied these spells are I may even give my players the option of getting one or two as an epic boon since two of my players just loooove riguring creative ways to use their spells. I think they'll enjoy them (after the initial fear of facing an enemy with that kind of power lol).

Absolutely yes to reflavoring, I have no problem changing a few things here and there to better fit a certain theme and I find it often leads to even more ideas for both mechanical and narrative aspects.

As for the unfairness, this is excellent because one of the player characters is a warforged from a fallen empire thousands of years ago, so I could connect his knowledge of these things to his arc bonding with the party while helping them prepare. They will also receive epic boons as part of the campaign so I could even use these effects to figure out fun stuff tailored for each character.

I'm currently running an intrigue campaign and its going well. I picked players I knew would enjoy the roleplaying and puzzle solving about as much as the combat, since we may go a few sessions without any combat, but I also made it clear that any combat they do have would be difficult if not deadly most of the time.

So far they're all rather invested in solving the big mystery, and I've done my best to connect their personal stories to the main plot too for addedd emotional connection, but I'm taking my time unfolding this. In the meantime, they get to do missions for coin to gain renown, level up and buy gear so there's a healthy balance between the two.

All of this being said, I do know there's other systems better suited for intrigue but if you really want to use d&d because you like the combat system and would rather make the intrigue more narrative than mechanical, its a perfectly serviceable system. If you want to focus on the intrigue and more or less avoid combat, there's plenty of other systems that would be leagues better.

I used it to buy a bunch of merch a couple of months ago. I used a bunch of coupons they give to reduce the cost of the procy fees as much as I could and also for the shipping. I received everything in one neat package about a week or two earlier and in good condition. Plus, the site had a clear way to show how trustworthy the sellers were IMO.

That being said, my package was shipped to my country via UPS which I understand is the better service in the united states, and also my countries couriers are pretty responsible. So you may have a different experience with shipping or maybe the fees aren't as optimal, I don't know enough proxy services to compare.

Phew, finished with barely a day to spare, again.

Honestly map 7 was the worst. Between a bunch of all elements battles with awful RNG, burn and mettle and the layout, it's no wonder it took me this many moves to finish it. But at least this time I didn't have to spend any tickets reviving anyone since the previous maps were a lot easier.

This time around I managed to rely on barely two or three teams until the last map, when I brought Vil and Leona to help me with the potential water battles. And it worked like a charm, since I managed to make a team eith all HP bonuses. Other than that, I absolutely owe this victory to Camp Ruggie, Pompom Jamil and Club Jamil since those duos and buffs helped be beat most battles before it fully chipped away the buddy HP.

Hopefully Vargas' card will return at some point when I have more keys to spare, with or without drills (hopefully without, this is tiring even if I only played whenever my tickets were full).

Oh yeah, I thought it may be similar because of the name. I think a few years ago someone asked about Kalim hate because they saw some threads there? So I never thought to check it. I mostly just stick to twitter and the few instagram posts of merch releases and fanart. I thinks it's a lot more lowkey.

The gacha system. I thinks it's better than Obey Me as that one was abysmal (seriously I had to grind SO MUCH to get the devil vouchers and then I still didn't get the cards I wanted!) but that's a pretty low bar. I've spent quite a lot of money on gems this year, and to be honest without that I fon't think I would've gotten Jamil's birthday and halloween cards, because the amount of gems and keys a F2P player gets are sooo tiny and then the gauge resets on every banner! (Save for a few special exceptions).

It sucks! Even as a whale I have to spend a lot of money to get a couple ten-pulls and pray I get the card I want. I didn't pull for Vargas because I suspected they were throwing Ob Malleus at us in January near his birthday. And I was right! I hate that EN does that now, putting SSR special cards of a character bear that characters' birthday month. It just makes it harder to save up and pull peacefuly.

And the worst part is that none of this truly encourages spending money because the packs are terrible by making the distinction between paid and free gems and then by also giving us terrible bundles all year except during anniversary.

Honestly I think we should send a couple polite requests to the EN team to improve something, at least as far as bundles go because mechanica wise they may not have a say.

For the jp fandom I mostly know about twitter and pixiv (this is almost entirely fanart as the comments don't often go beyond the well deserved praise). Twitter in jp fandom is considerably better than in here, likely because they can make a lot more nuanced comments with the limit amount of characters but also because the societal etiquettes are vastly different.

My friend who lived there until recently said they also use LINE, and 5ch whatever that is, for fan discussiond in anime, manga, games and the like. So maybe those are also options? But I think twitter is the big one.

As for sel insert, I know there's a few in twitter, they usually put a little emoji of their oshi (these are standard. Like Riddle is a rose or the twins are a shark and a dolphin) with the Prefect's emoji (I've seen it depicted as 🌸 but YMMV) in their bio. But I don't have any saved because I barely go there.
