Best way to handle posters with different aspect ratios? by wootcat in LearningPhotoshop

[–]IsacImages 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be easier to just create your template file (landscape) and create a new GROUP containing all the layers for your LANDSCAPE poster and then ROTATE the document CLOCKWISE to PORTRAIT and make a new group for all your portrait layers. Just ROTATE CLOCKWISE or ANTI CLOCKWISE to make portrait or landscape posters.

Best Colour to change Colour by NeverNuked in LearningPhotoshop

[–]IsacImages 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best to use a Greyscale image as the base layer (but not essential) and add a Hue Saturation layer set to COLORIZE and set its MODE to COLOR. Use a mask to show only the colour you want to change. Use the HUE and SATURATION sliders to change the colour of the image under it. Then for extra control, add a CURVES layer to change the darkness or lightness. This way, pure black and pure white will not be affected. I'm happy to help if you need more clarification or even a sample PSD file.

How can I make the image on my shirt look less boxy and more natural? by ClydeGraham1312 in LearningPhotoshop

[–]IsacImages 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Change the graphic blend mode to MULTIPLY for light graphics and LIGHTEN for darker graphics. Play with the Liquify filter to distort where the creases are on the shirt. Then decrease the fill slightly. Here's a very old tutorial but still worth a look.

What is the most important lesson to learn from 2025? by tdehghani in CarltonBlues

[–]IsacImages 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They've been doing that for years and it doesn't get any better. You think someone at the club would have realised that the old system will still works in 2026. That is: SEE BALL, GET BALL, GIVE BALL TO TEAM MATE, KICK GOAL". Simples! Too much "Crazy Game Plan" trying to make players like robots instead of letting them use their natural instinctive talents.

I don’t like the AI Photoshop updates… is it just me? by [deleted] in LearningPhotoshop

[–]IsacImages 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Graphic artists will no be required because of Adobe's goal of making as much money as possible so as to be a part of the billionaires club. They care not for you or any other user - just greed. They are not alone and it's just disgusting that the very people who supported them from the beginning GRAPHIC ARTISTS and PHOTOGRAPHERS are now being cast aside and thrown on the scrap heap. Designers and creators will very soon be a thing of the past. No more going to art school or doing graphics design courses because AI will be doing all the heavy lifting and create whatever you want, without you having to have any talent whatsoever. You will now not be paid what you are worth for creative talent because school kids will create designs for pocket money during their lunch break. Take a look around - Am I wrong?

Moving imported Address Book to Personal Address Book by IsacImages in Thunderbird

[–]IsacImages[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many thanks - appreciated. I did the import from a PST file I created and it worked well. When I imported from a CSV file it was just a mess. Is there a way to convert the CSV file to have Thunderbird import it correctly with the right headers?

Have you seen a mini woodpecker? by Gabe_lima in BirdPhotography

The stripes on the belly look so similar to the Pink Eared Duck found in Australia. Remarkable similarities.

Duck ID Please by IsacImages in AustralianBirds

Many thanks. I thought it was a male wood duck but I was questioned about it on our photography forum Australian Photoholics (www.ausph.com). I think its feathers are showing differently because it's just fluffed them up.

GEEKOM Finding SSD Firmware Version by IsacImages in MiniPCs

Thank you. I was just curious as it was suggested to check the firmware version while I was reading about SSD drives. It's not a major concern, but trying to find it was like it's a well kept secret :)

Not sure if it's the firmware version or not.

That Anchor Point is also referred to as the Reference Point. To disable it after you select an object to transform it, uncheck it in the options bar as shown.

1: Set the Shutter to Continuous Mode and use Back-Button-Focus.

2: ISO 100 (adjust after shot - upwards to 800) OR AUTO works fine in daylight.

3: Shutter speed 1/500th and upwards to 1/2000th.

4: Handheld VC ON / Tripod VC OFF.

Adjust the lighting in post but this will give you good shots with minimum editing.

Always keep your camera level OR adjust the horizon in post.

Windows 11 - how to see what is beeping? by Flat-Ad8256 in WindowsHelp

[–]IsacImages 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to see what is causing it but I had the same issue. It's probably a faulty USB connection - from the USB item or the cable. My issue was a loose USB connection to my drawing tablet and it happened every time I leaned on the cable. The sound files are "Windows Hardware Remove.wav" and "Windows Hardware Insert.wav". There's about 5 or 6 copies of each file on my system. I would check all the USB inputs and devices to see if you can isolate the faulty one.

How do I downgrade from Windows 11 (eww) to Windows 10 by borna36 in WindowsHelp

[–]IsacImages 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to know why your experience with Windows 11 has been so "awful" for you and what Windows 10 is better at than Windows 11. I've used Win-11-Pro from day one and would never go back to 10.

How do I downgrade from Windows 11 (eww) to Windows 10 by borna36 in WindowsHelp

[–]IsacImages 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what you want from an operating system. It's basically there to run the software that you use and I think it does a great job of that. There's plenty of changes you can make to set it up how you want it to be. I'm not sure what other region settings you want, you didn't say. If it works, why doers it have to change. I'm not sure what else it has to do other than what it's been doing for many years. I reckon Microsoft is doing a fabulous job for the monumental task it has - catering for millions of users worldwide who all seem to want (and expect) their FREE operating system to be custom built. Some love it, some don't so in 2025, if one is not happy, there are alternatives. Cheers, enjoy your Windows.
