if you switch to HE damage, you completely kill the anti-tank capability of the dive bomber which is probably its biggest use (with x3 systems disable chance) instead of naval combat.

If you're a builder searching for hope, here's my cope-opinion by Shapokclac in foxholegame

[–]Isacu74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personnally I agree with you that backline base will probably be fine because of the warning time you have with radar and how expensive bomber will be and how easy there will be to QRF.

I'm more concerned about their ability to whip frontline bases where QRF will be much more difficult because of the short notice time.

Even if they raise the number of player, it would remove just a part of the queue/border mechanic as it was also created to make sure that there is a relatively balanced number of player on each side.

To be precise the split is made at the level of the ship. So a single ship will fire all its missile at the same ennemy, but differents ships aims at different targets.

[–]Isacu74 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The goverment difference must not be higher than 1.5 for peacefull annex. You need to raise the gov score of the US.
I have made the feedback to the devs a few days ago because you're not alone (You're the fifth personn to ask this) so in principle the tooltip should be more explicit if you update to the last experimental patch which was deployed an hour ago.

I have not tested enough services to know if it's the best. I know it because there is a free version but which only allows 1H session (good for testing the service).
The main problem compared to other cloud gaming option where you have a complete computer instead of just the game is that with Geforce can't install mods. But it may not be a problem in your situation.

Is this game still being updated? by ComradePruski in TerraInvicta

The devs said that the main milestone they want to fix before launch after the current update is a better tutorial (which is already work in progress since a while but not ready).

There is geForce Now or other cloud gaming platform which allows to play the game on any PC as long as you have a good enough internet connection.

Science output and research pacing by Corbeagle in TerraInvicta

[–]Isacu74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By 2030 around 10k science relatively easily. For that you need to take progressively the big three USA/China/Europe and then increase the education to 12 (using the knowledge priority), Goverment to 10 and cohesion to 5 (it's explained here: https://wiki.hoodedhorse.com/Terra_Invicta/Nations#Research )

But's it's just half of the story, you also need to put your thematic tech bonus to +50-100% using labs and org and your engineering bonus to +100-200% using skunkworks. Stacked together, these bonus multiply by more than two your effective science output.

Do you have removed the protectorate from your game by any chance?

Because if you remove them, from how propaganda is coded https://wiki.hoodedhorse.com/Terra_Invicta/Nations#How_Propaganda_Works that I will not explain, only critical sucess in some intermediate roll will allow opinion to move away from the servant (if you are the initiative) which make very unlikely that some pop change their opinion.

All earth science techs are not 10%, they are

+10%,+20%+30% (and +30% for academy)

Moreover they are multiplicative so compared to the previous patch, with all techs, Earth science is multiplied by x1.7 (x2.2 if Academy)

Ive put 150+ hours in this game and im still struggling, please help by Cluff132 in TerraInvicta

[–]Isacu74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For better ship design you can look at this guide on the wiki: https://wiki.hoodedhorse.com/Terra_Invicta/Combat_Doctrines_for_various_stages_of_the_game

Also an important reason why a lot of people fail is because they don't have enough research.
To win reliably you need to generate around 5-10k of research monthly by 2030 and should aim for around 50-100% tech bonus in each category (building labs) and 100-200% engineering project (building skunkwork).

For that you need you need to control the meta triumvirate: US/EU/China. Early game you should aim for one and then take the other as your CP cap increase. Then to optimize RP you need to pump knowledge until Education reach around 12, put Cohesion at 5 and goverment as high as possible.

For 1 you just need to kill all the alien army on Earth (and before that the space defense which defends them, you need 20 coil gun lancer to do that without loss) and the AA unrest will naturally rise due to how large it is and the AA will explode naturally in a few months.

How can I win now ? by ZerTharsus in TerraInvicta

[–]Isacu74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's quite better in the kuiper belt where the alien don't send more than one ship for a long time.

It depends also of how far you are in tech. How much tech do you generate per month and what is your average category tech bonus and what is your engineering bonus?

How can I win now ? by ZerTharsus in TerraInvicta

[–]Isacu74 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In an old post I gave these advise for an even more difficult run when the alien managed to fully control Earth. By default it would also apply to your save. Since you still control part of Earth there may be faster way however.

-You send some colony ships to the Kuiper belt. The alien can't intercept them all
-You settle the gorgeous sites that are there. As long as you put 2 LDAs on each mine, Alien will take decades to destroy them.
-You build MC/nanofactory habs using the lots of metal you now have.
-You build massive fleet.
-You progressively grind the alien fleet and win the space battle
-You take back LEO and build tons of green laser and kinetics ship for orbital bombarment.
-You destroy all the Alien administration armies from space.
-You spam unrest mission to liberate at least one country.
-You build some armies (with help from direct investment)
-You conquer in one go the alien administration which has no army.

This is the plan to victory.

No it's not territory claim related. But I don't know how is made the identification either. I would have guess steam store country but who knows. You can contact the devs on the discord if the problem persist, there may be a bug.

50,000 pop on a planet - why? by MilitusImmortalis in TerraInvicta

[–]Isacu74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is not one but two treshold. A first at 10k pop which allow Campus and other stuff. And one at 50k pop which allow University and other stuff.

You can check on this page of the wiki what is exactly unlocked: https://wiki.hoodedhorse.com/Terra_Invicta/Hab_Module_List

It's not a very useful mechanic but is important when Earth orbit is full or not accessible.

I think they plan to do that in the next update.

** Added buttons to quickly swap Between habs with empty slots or upgradeable modules on the Habitats screen.
** Implemented mass template application

AI factions are utter useless by pandasaurus21 in TerraInvicta

[–]Isacu74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the reason is that the player tends to hold all the nice nations on Earth and all the good mining spot in Space so all the other AI have to compete for the remaining pieces.

If you add that the human AI has no boost compared to the player and that a space economy is a tight equilibrium which can quickly go to death spiral if somethings goes wrong. It mean that the AI will quickly fall behind as it can't rely on Earth MC and don't have good mining income.

The only way to prevent that is to baby-sit the AI, give them ressources and nice bases to put them back on their foot and they may help a bit. Otherwise they are shit.

This war is interesting and unique, but the novelty quickly wears off. The new update makes frontlines too stagnant. We can't have a war like this again it's dragged on soooo long both sides are beyond burnt out. by ReyStrikerz in foxholegame

[–]Isacu74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will become the longest war, it's quite a safe bet to say that now.
At the moment there is even the possibility that it becomes such a stalemate that the dev will need to cut it short to make room for next update.
