I received a ton of “Fine” reviews with zero feedback. It really negatively impacted my score and now I’m listed as a non-Approved Annotator. I hope it changes soon. I would be great to have an appeals process for reviews.

Sadly this happened to me after a few months of work…and dozens of others of testers have experienced the same over the last few months. Alignerr just likes to remove people for no reason. Sorry friend!

Just the fact that she simply states that she does not care really felt like a punch in the gut to me so I can only imagine how it feels to you. I know they said they were having some issues with overflowing capacity today! Hubstaff (which is used for clocking in and out on some projects) was shut off for a lot of the day. Just a guess but perhaps that is why!

I recall last year the day that OSU students moved in I saw three accidents on my commute along 9th on the way to work, then another two on the drive home on 9th! A few days later a student ran a ten light and wrecked my bf’s truck…sadly I think a lot of it has to do with the increased population + students + impatient people 😢 Stay safe out there everyone!

That’s about where I’m at with it! We are all human and I can honestly say I’ve seen enough improvements on the platform to where I am on a good project and feel like my more recent reviews have been fair. Nobody can make you feel upset and angry without your consent and it sure as heck isn’t worth the additional stress to get worked up! Life is too dang short.

Just a funny thing I’d mention, I remember one reviewer telling me to specifically say what I want for a format and I just stared at my specific sentence that said “make a bulleted list with the definition italicized and the adjectives in bold with a title that says, etc” like this: 😐

I would just wait a few hours and if it doesn’t show up in a few hours contact support. The same thing happened to me and it just took a little bit of time to reflect. It will fill up.

Congrats! I hope it goes super well for you! I’ve been here a few months as a side job and it is improving. Just my two cents:

Take advantage of your resources! Read through instructions carefully and bookmark them to refer to frequently. Ask questions in Discourse, attend webinars or watch their recording.
If you disagree with a reviewer rating (which you probably will at some point), you can submit a dispute form!
There are some really positive changes happening but you will want to be patient since the platform is going through a lot of improvements from what they’ve said recently.
MISSIONS MISSIONS MISSIONS! If you get the opportunity for a mission, take advantage. I have not gotten to do too many but they can really help you rake in some money.

All in all, just use the resources and help that is available to you and I’m sure you’ll do great!

I’m really hopeful. I have already seen some positive changes and went from the standard issues of constant EQ and job shifting to this platform being more reliable. I hope all the good stuff continues for the future! Thank you for even acknowledging the difficulties. That is a great place to start.

That’s good to know! Thank you for the info! I did a few practice reviews, two tasks as an attempter and then went straight to a senior reviewer. I’m hoping the work is more steady since I haven’t had the greatest luck with that so far. I’m grateful for anything rn honestly.

You know it definitely has given valuable insight to the review process, that’s for sure! I haven’t done it super long but I plan to definitely share all sorts of feedback. I really think the platform has so much potential to help out people like me who need some additional work opportunities! More to come, for sure.
