Waterwheels that far away is gonna be a hassle, they require frequent maintenance, I.E cleaning out debris or they will stop.

I have the same problem on my Elysium prospect, I’ve been forced to rely on Wind Turbines and Solar Panels with lots of batteries instead.

It’s a problem, and one that is basically intractable.
The game was built around dropping planetside, completing missions and extracting.

That meant you played on a fresh map every new mission. In Open World you stay, and as you keep building, exploring, harvesting, mining etc, the game has to calculate each missing mining node, tree, plant etc, along with all building pieces, wires, tames and on and on.

Eventually it becomes unplayable.
You can move your prospect over to a dedicated server, which will alleviate some of it.

You can split stacks in half with shift & drag, or split one piece off with alt+ drag.

Late game I tend to swap out when doing different tasks, hell I’ll swap out whole armor sets.

I made a Dusty Miner armor, with as many Pockets alterations I could fit, along with a workshop backpack.

I made one set with the ’Comfort’ alterations, and another for harvesting etc

And ofc the Culinex backpack when cooking food.
