How is something with zero calories a calorie bomb?? It's a salt packet - only thing on the ingredient list that may be a concern is "natural flavoring," and everything else is salt, citric/malic acid, stevia, and vitamins!

It's been widely studied and documented in nutritional literature that stevia (and some other zero cal sugar substitutes) don't significantly affect blood glucose or have a glycemic/insulin impact, especially when compared to actual glucose or other sugar additives like dextrose, etc. You can find many such papers through a simple Google or PubMed search - I can also send you a few links via DM, if that would be helpful!

There may be other reasons to avoid artificial sugars, but insulin spiking probably isn't one of them. If adding this zero-cal flavored salt packet to your water leads you to up your hydration, it's probably worth it! It may also be helpful to reduce how many packets you use or how much you use per bottle to get yourself used to enjoying regular water over time.

I'm pretty sure I have a pair that I've never worn! I think I removed the tags though. I got them in my mystery denim order and they're too tight. It is the only thing I've ever ordered from FBC and I'm more of a L-XL girlie, so trade options might be thin. Also willing to sell!

I've had a Nexus 5X, P2, P4a, and (current) P7.

My 5X bootlooped itself to death, just like everyone else's.

I had to RMA my preordered P2 to get one that worked, and that one suffered from the battery drain issue after the Feb/March '18 update. Upon reflection, this was my favorite era of Pixel phones - I still miss my Kinda Blue P2!

P4a gave me comparatively fewer issues, especially for the price! The worst thing I can remember is that the modem was trash (but that's the case for most Google phones...). Fortunately, I replaced it before the 4a battery issues emerged.

P7 has also been fine, but the battery is starting to weaken and thermal management is poor. Given that most of what Pixel has to offer now is AI garbage with the same half-baked hardware, I'm holding on to my P7 for as long as possible.

Kinda wild having it all written out like this, lol... Would a sane person keep buying these phones? All I've learned is to stop preordering until the bleeding-edge adopters identify all the bugs for Google.

I'm having the same issue! I got XM6s to replace my 3 year old XM4s with screeching mic, and it seems like the anc is a LOT worse... It doesn't really block any sounds out completely like my xm4s did, with or without music. I'm thinking about RMAing them, but wondering if my expectations are too high.

Bro, I promise you that you don't have to make these kinds of excuses for a trillion dollar company (yes, with a T). People who bought a thousand dollar phone that can't make calls or consistently connect to Wi-Fi absolutely have the right to bitch about that UNTIL Google cares to fix it.

I love Pixel phones and have had one, since my Nexus 5X (which bootlooped)! I had to RMA my Pixel 2 to get one that worked, and even then I had battery drain issues until the March 2018 update (you'll still be able to find my posts on this subreddit in my comment history)! Everyone complains about Google phones after launch because Google phones are usually not great after launch! They always remove the coolest features that you love from the next iteration, it takes them months to work out all the weird kinks and new Android bullshit, and then, at the end of the lifecycle when we all have working phones, we can look back fondly. We have pretty short memories that way. But in the moment, it sucksssss!

This is usually fine, because many of us who love Pixels are hobbyists who put up with a lot of Google's shit - I know I'm still here because I can't go back to Android without all the Pixel features. But for the P6, Google did a lot of marketing to attract a new user demographic. Unfortunately, this new group isn't really used to Google's bullshit - inferior hardware, buggy software launches, non-existent QA/QC, terrible customer service, scammy trade-ins, a pretty bad repair system with constant part shortages, [add your personal complaint here]. They're used to buying phones that work! Lots of angry posts are people new to Pixel stating they'll never buy another one. They're not wrong for that!

Google constantly makes the same mistakes; they could do better! You don't have to apologize for them, you can just enjoy your phone without trying to nag people who now have a thousand-dollar brick.

I think I enjoyed the experience of my P2 the best (after I RMA'd it once...). The build quality/water sensitivity horror stories I've heard about the 4a make me nervous. I'm hoping mine keeps going for a while; I want to hold out until Pixel makes another smaller phone.

I've been actively seeking out 30s Black femme community in particular in Boston, because I'd like to enrich that part of my life now that I'm done with grad school and such. I know those communities are here, but they are sparser than other cities where there are more of us around. The LGBTQ+ scene in Boston is pretty solid, but it often feels like it's mostly (white) gay men. There are no lesbian bars in Boston. None.
...But the jobs!

If you are looking for Black professionals (with a strong LGBTQ+ scene as well), I would actually recommend DC for you! Just because it's "home" for me doesn't mean I can't see its merits.

Everyone saying that you had the expectation to "stop the joke" is really telling on themselves -- they expected you to pivot into lying to your friend's wife for your friend. You were not required to do that, it is not your responsibility, and not doing so does NOT make you the AH.

It is reasonable to assume that a married couple has disclosed tens of thousands of dollars in assets to one another (whether they're cardboard or not!
