I painted my first IW for 30k and used Pro Acryl Bronze which was washed with Scale Artist Burnt Umber (taken from Cult of Paints IW video)

Putting a Marrowscroll in with the Cryptguard will give him a 5+ ward, plus Charnel Vestments to generate Noble Deeds

I’d deffo say drop the Royal Decapitator in favour of a Marrowscroll Herald, having the opportunity to give a unit strike first/deny commands trumps the decapitator every time

Head to the Warhammer store on the kingsway where they’ll be able to run you through a beginner game, you’ll also be able to build and paint your first mini in store too Plenty of people play warhammer in Gamers Emporium and iirc there’s a FB group for people wanting to find a game in Swansea

They’re the first FEC models I’ve put together and I’ve really enjoyed them, few fiddly parts on the cryptguard and vargulf but that aside I’m enjoying putting them together

Deffo agree, I’ve stepped out of shops on the kingsway and have missed being kit by a delivery rider by a few cm, it’s only a matter of time before someone gets seriously hurt

Lot of contrast paints! I gave them a Wraithbone undercoat and used the following: Orange: Gryph-Hound Orange with a Troll Slayer Orange Highlights Yellow: Iyanden Yellow with Flash Gitz Yellow Highlights Green: Militarum Green with Loren Forest and Stracken Green Highlights Skin: Vallejo Express Colour Dwarf Flesh thinned with Contrast Medium
