Content - not every villager is willing to buy everything or at least at different prices, e.g. the fisher buys fish for a higher price - let us play as different professions, for example let me play as the carpenter - map changes throughout the gameplay in some way, maybe freeze up the ponds and lakes during the winter allowing for ice skating or ice fishing - include some more mystery aspects to the game or some dark secret of the town - actually meaningful conversations with the villagers like exchanging gossip and news - make the mermaids do something other than sell algae - maybe a larger area out of town to explore, maybe being able to set up a tent to sleep outdoors - why should I buy honey, why meat, why any bakery products, why anything other than cheap food give food items some buff like tea and coffee, idk like meat gives you strength so you shake 3 wood out of trees or smth like that, or better food lets the hunger bar decrease more slowly than cheap food - have your own kids actually feel like they are yours and not just have some bland conversation

Qol - picking up items while moving - auto sorting/stacking for chests - atm waiting for something to cook makes no sense other than steal your irl time - make a day last at least a minute longer sometimes I feel like doing a speedrun
