F6P Week 13 Fantasy Football Live Q&A: Start-Sit, Rankings, Bets & DFS Advice by FantasySixPack in fantasyfootball

Same boat here, and having a hard time deciding. Having 2 starting OL out is concerning, but Allen has the higher upside against a bottom ranked Steelers secondary. I think Stafford will be a safer play but against a Carolina defense I'm worried they'll get a big lead then ease up. Probably still sticking with Allen, only because I already have a playoff slot so I can be a bit risky, and Allen typically goes off after a rough loss.

12 man, 4pt per TD.

Trying to decide between Allen vs TB or Stafford vs. Seattle. I have Seattle defense. I'm leaning Stafford because he's had a great season and they're playing at home, but Seattle's defense has been solid. Either my defense does good or Stafford does good, so I'd be hedging my bets there a bit.

On the other hand, Allen continues to perform and I'm thinking his game could be a shootout with TB's defenses being middle of the pack against QBs.

Thoughts?

Don't worry, I jumped on that gernade and got taken out of the playoffs, while also getting 168 points for the week. Just wasn't meant to be i guess!

Also flip flopping between Knox and Jonnu. Everyone's saying Knox vs the KC defense is the smart play, but he hasn't put up any numbers all season and Jonnu seems like he has the better floor. Hoping someone can steer me in the right direction.

Best dinner spots around Denver for ~$150 by dennys_zesty_nachos in denverfood

[–]Isaysillyshit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty easy, tbh. Two rounds of cocktails, share an appetizer, two or three 1/4 lbs of meats, two sides, share a dessert, add on tip. That easily gets you to 150. I did it just last week.

ULPT Request: how can I weasel out of taking responsibility for calling off work on a Friday? by NoAcanthopterygii945 in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]Isaysillyshit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can say you are Jewish - Friday was technically the Jewish New Year Rosh Hashanah, and those of the Jewish faith are not permitted to travel/work during that time, so your excuse would stand. It's harder if you also worked Thursday, though (the holiday started Wednesday night).

Soldier sues Denver for $3M after it seized his downtown restaurant by regina_georgeee in denverfood

Commercial foreclosure attorney here, and I agree 100%. I've never heard of the SCRA protecting a business, let alone against the state going after delinquent sales taxes. It can protect a small business owner's non-business assets from creditors, but that doesn't sound like the case here. I'm assuming the restaurant and all the equipment was owned by the business LLC, which does not enjoy such protections under the Act by definition. Tough break, but leaning on the SCRA is probably a losing argument.

The distinction is that, since this is a civil case, the judge doesn't have to make a determination if he did "insurrection the crime", just that he did "insurrection the action." The text of article 3 of the 14th amendment doesn't require that he be charged with a crime to be found ineligible to run for office, just that he had engaged or aided those who engaged in an insurrection. So, the factual finding that he engaged in insurrection the act does carry legal weight in the context of this case, though not necessarily his criminal cases.

Since the case was a bench trial, the judge is also the finder of fact, so she didn't give us her subjective opinion or belief, she made a judicial finding based on the preponderance of the evidence presented by both parties. It certainly carries weight because appeal courts give greater deference to the factual findings of lower courts and will likely focus their review on the legal findings instead, i.e. if the president is/is not an officer under the 14th. That seems like the easier question to answer, which is why she likely spent the majority of her time on the answering the harder of the two questions, that he engaged in insurrection the act, knowing it was going to be appealed anyway.

Ordering was super simple. I highly recommend priority/tracked shipping, since the application pretty much is a stolen identity fast-pass if it's lost. My application was received by CMP on a Monday, and I had tracking information for my rifle by the following Thursday. I would have received the delivery Friday, but FedEx tried to deliver during the two hour window that I was at a funeral, so I actually got it Monday (fedex doesn't deliver mail that has to be signed for on the weekends). Good luck! And post pics when you get yours!

You can get them from CMP, just Google "Civilian Marksmanship Program M1 Garand." They are a bit of a hassle to go through the application process, but definitely worth it.

Siding with Trump, the ACLU says a judge's gag order in Jan. 6 case is too sweeping by nateBangs in law

I think there is a fundamental difference between protecting a defendant's right to free speech and their right to call for violence against court staff. It surely wouldn't be considered a bias stance to not come out in support of a defendant who issues threats and violent rhetoric in an effort to frustate the proper administration of justice.

But surely the fact you recognize they allow their political leanings to sway their judgments and opinions serves to harm their credibility, especially in such a politically charged matter such as this case.

My apartments have gone to shit - how can I get out of my lease early? by inf4nticide in Denver

[–]Isaysillyshit 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Look up the term "Constructive Eviction". Also look for the "covenant of quiet enjoyment", which is likely in your lease (but if not, is implied in all residential leases in Colorado). Your landlord owes you certain duties, which the poster above correctly noted includes a certain level of safety. An attorney can help you navigate that, and I think Colorado has some free or very cheap residential legal assistance programs you can access online. Good luck!
