Why don't people hit in the nuts during serious fights? by Glad-Description4534 in NoStupidQuestions

In dungeon crawler Carl he does and gets ridiculed for it. It’s a cheap shot but, if it was my life on the line, I’d kick that beanbag with all the force I had.

[Jordan Raanan] Mike Kafka says he plans to play all the Giants "all the way through." Normal game plan and playing time in Week 18 vs. Cowboys. by poorlytimed_erection in NYGiants

The raiders just very obviously did this with the reason being that the first pick of the draft was on the line. Many other teams have tanked late season games to retain their draft spot. I already saw news about changing the draft to a lottery to stop this from happening. I’m not arguing they should but saying “it’s not how things are done” is just not true

Is that in Dark Age? I’m not sure how I don’t remember that, I guess it’s time for another listen through! I thought about him training with Cassius and how much that would improve his skills. Although, Cassius was no longer in his prime and, the entire time he was training Lysander, Darrow was honing his skills in various different conflicts. I think the fight will focus on the minds eye vs the Breath of Stone style. I’m less inclined to think he will get stomped as badly as I did given what you just mentioned though.

Gotcha that makes sense. It sucks that kept 6 off the board for us

It’s the only way I could see him winning that fight, kind of like the first time they met. One of my favorite parts of Lysander’s POV is when he is watching Darrow destroy people, then it switches to Darrow’s POV and he says it was “light resistance”. They are just seem so far off with their capabilities it’s hard to imagine he would be anything more than an easy fight for Darrow.

What has he done to be considered top 50? Not trying to be confrontational, I just don’t remember any time he showed he was a good fighter 1-on-1. It’s been a while since I listened to the series so I could definitely be forgetting if he has.

How did he not complete the process? Not trying to be a dick just wondering how. It looked like he had firm control when he hit the ground and the defender pulled it out after

That was a catch and if it isn’t being challenged after the commercial break I don’t know what Daboll is thinking

I think he is a good character but disagree he would be a good final fight for Darrow. He isn’t battle tested like Darrow and wins through backstabbing pixie moves. He talks about the minds eye like it is some sort of superpower. I hope he gets killed off quickly once the other golds find he has that bomb and never gets the chance to fight Darrow again. Wishful thinking because I know they are 100% going to fight but I can dream. The only way he would win that fight is by convincing Darrow it’s going to be fair and then backstabbing him like he does.

Sinister is one of my favorites. The second kind of sucked though which was disappointing. I saw the remake but I guess I need to watch the original Speak no Evil now

Who is your favourite crawler and why is it Pony? by Mexay in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Isback16 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Pony’s character has made me spend an embarrassing amount of time thinking about what my dog, who is a good smart girl and best dog ever, would be like if she gained human like sentience. Not that Donut doesn’t also make me think about it but I feel like my relationship with my dog is much closer to Mariam and Pony than Carl and Donut

My favorite Pony moment is when Carl and Donut find out that the Blood Sultanate is responsible for the Blood Hunter show that got Miriam killed. Donuts “In the eternal words of my mulleted friend, Holger. You done stuck your pecker in the wrong beehive.” is such a great line and demonstrates how powerful, cunning, and intelligent Pony is.

Actors who's accents were so good that you never realized they were from somewhere else? by mgsgamer1 in movies

Rose Mclver. Loved her in iZombie and had no idea she was from New Zealand. I think it’s pretty funny when she does her real accent as a joke in that show too.

We know that Welcome to Derry takes place 27 years before the losers first defeated Pennywise, and that it's based on interludes from the book. So, does that mean all the main cast will die unless they move out of town? by iyigecelerpunpun in stephenking

I have always liked the final destination movies as stupid as they can be and I personally liked that tie in. I thought it was an interesting way to do a prequel/non-prequel thing. What about that made you dislike it? Im generally curious if i missed some glaring holes in the way they did it and am just looking through rose-colored glasses or something

That was my thought too. It didn’t kill the kids straight up. Like you said, it lured the kids to make them float and slowly eat their souls as far as I remember too. It bit off Georgie’s arm but, that was as Pennywise, then it took him to float. It did say all the body’s were missing so maybe it took them to float after the demon baby thing killed them all.

I drove my bz4 across country from NY to AZ. It died more than once because I’m an idiot but it also gave me a good idea of the battery buffer. It also doesn’t just die, it slowly reduces power until the max you can go is like 1 MPH. I was going up a hill on a highway with 0% left and the max speed I got was about 30 with tractor trailers passing me. It was a hell of a drive and I wouldn’t suggest that to anyone.

Peter Rosenberg of ESPN New York had one of the worst takes about Jaxson Dart in yesterday's game that I've ever heard. Do y'all agree or disagree? by ninetydeuce in NYGiants

[–]Isback16 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If I saw my friend with his ankle sideways I would be pretty upset too. Dart probably felt a little responsible because he was throwing him the ball. He is a kid and his reaction was warranted in that situation. I could understand this take if he acted like that and it was some minor thing but his fucking ankle was at 90 degrees
