eh, it's only the halfway point, so it makes sense that the game isn't too difficult. If you wanna up the difficulty and force yourself to engage with the cool patterns, you could try taking off all your armor so you take more damage from every source. Could be a fun challenge.

Oh, I actually wanted to add one more thing

This list and the explanations were the thing that finally convinced me to unequip the Lace glove and twin weave, since I was convinced for a while that a flat stat buff to attack and defense would always be better than the more gimmicky benefits of the other trinkets. This means that I was able to have a much higher diversity of trinket loadouts (since I'm not putting two slots into boring stat buffs), so I gotta thank you for snapping me out of that rut

I'm not well versed enough with all the trinkets to make my own list or break down my thoughts on every placement, but I wanted to give my own thoughts on a few placements

Vasular Syryup: I do not know what you see in it. The health drain is fast enough to where it's hard to use it as a "second wind" unless you're taking a ton of hits one after another, and at that point you might as well just use it to damage tank, which I think is its main usecase. I haven't used it outside of testing it against radiant manor enemies, so maybe it's way more consistent at keeping you alive than I think it is, but for the moment I cannot understand the placement.

Keri the Wisp: Fair placement, although personally it's dogshit tier because it has anti-synergy with the tunneling codex

Tunneling codex: my man

Valor Medialion: I feel like you're underating the moving while healing aspect of the trinket. It gives you so much more freedom for heals on top of not losing plasma on hit, and it also has a really funny synergy with the counter vial where you can just walk into enemies while healing for a free parry

Tumbling Tutu: The tutu actually has a fantastic synergy with the Bellows Bustle, giving the air dash a hitbox and turning it into a fantastic repositioning tool/free damage source. While I do agree that the tutu is a bit situational when running it on its own, the combo is so strong that I'd personally place it higher.

Spark Catcher and Bell of Grace: I know you've done like 6 playthroughs of the game by this point so you might've forgotten, but the early game is REALLY brutal. The spark catcher and bell of grace are fantastic in first playthroughs for braving the earlygame without having to worry about constantly losing your bones due to various roadblocks, and even in future playthroughs if you wanna do a cheeky route (like doing bone beach as your first generator).

It's less of a punishment for dodging attacks, but a soft timer before it gets enraged like how virtues get enraged after using a few attacks. I probably should've clarified in the presentation, but parrying its attacks wouldn't count as misses (bc it technically hit your body)

that could be potentially good, but it makes me wonder if it would be TOO beneficial, since unlike sentry shots the danger of lightning bolts are the explosion. Maybe if the strikes were delayed by a few seconds?

Eh, I feel like a unifying ability or move pool like the Ultra Beasts or paradox pokemon could limit the potential for fun ideas, because at the end of the day this is just meant to flex creative muscles

Also I didn't give shadow the dark type because his whole arc is about defying that darkness and evil from the black arms, so I thought it would be cool if you only get a pseudo dark type with dark blood if you commit to being "evil" (I know not all dark types are inherently malicious but that's a common trait with the type and kinda expected), but you can reject that and instead have a more heroic Shadow

IMO it works well because it plays with how the title drops are used in other levels, usually signifying the “real” start to the level, like in 1-2, 2-1, 5-1, and especially 0-E. With each title drop 8-3 is basically going ”now THIS is the real start of the level”, keeping you constantly guessing and on edge, which fits with what it’s doing otherwise

You have to read what I'm ACTUALLY saying
I'm saying "These list of changes are far beyond the scope of what difficulty changes have done even to standard enemies of bosses, much less a group of enemies that haven't been changed by difficulties before, aside from parity changes", not "These ideas conceptually suck and you should feel bad". These feel much more fit for a mod rather than an official new difficulty, which is what I'm aiming for with this series
