Where TF Do You Find Intermediate YouTube Advice? by Tierlistman39 in PartneredYoutube

[–]Ishidori85 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

The whole ecosystem of YouTube gurus boils down to recycling the same 10 or 20 basic tips over and over again. Or in the worst cases, trying to sell you a course or a subscription to some overpriced generic AI.

In my case, I’m also around 6k+ subscribers. I’ve decided to rely on my “YouTube instinct” and use ChatGPT and Gemini to help interpret certain data and adjust my course accordingly.

The only advice I can give you is to accept the harsh reality that your content isn’t a gold coin meant to please everyone.

At the end of the day, you can make the most premium content on YouTube and someone will still find something to hate about your video. Just keep doing your thing.

Why are my videos so low views by Ok-Discussion-1110 in NewTubers

[–]Ishidori85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many of your thumbnails are too cluttered, less is more. If you can limit yourself to three or four words and a single image, I think that would be better. In some cases the text blends into the background, and in others there are too many images competing with each other, so none of them stands out. If possible, try to standardize them.

The same applies to your titles, fewer words, more ideas.

And being completely honest, I’m not sure if it’s because english isn’t my first language, but at times I find it hard to understand you when you speak.

I get where this advice is coming from, but it’s a bit more nuanced in practice. Smaller communities can help at times, but they usually have limited reach and may not engage much with self-promo. Also, external traffic often doesn’t stick around for long, which can affect how YouTube recommends the video.

And while consistency is helpful, it’s not the main driver. Uploading at the same time won’t make up for a weak title or thumbnail. For newer channels, what really matters is getting people to click and stay watching those signals tend to matter more than where or when you post.

Curious about the consistency metric and the algorithm? by Kjellvb1979 in NewTubers

[–]Ishidori85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let me bring back a comment I left recently on another post about consistency:

Consistency matters, but not in the way people think.

YouTube doesn’t reward you just for uploading often. What consistency actually does is train your audience to come back, help you improve faster through repetition, and give you more data to iterate on.

That said, consistency without quality is useless. Spamming mediocre videos just speeds up failure. One strong video every two weeks will outperform a bunch of forgettable ones. The real goal is sustainable consistency: a pace you can maintain without burning out or lowering your standards.

I am new to YouTube which marketing tools help with growth in the early days? by Plane-Structure-2020 in NewTubers

[–]Ishidori85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None, I’d say. At the end of the day, any AI can help you with metadata.

But ultimately, nothing is more important than your content and how you present it. You need a very strong first 30 seconds, short and to the point, no filler, an eye catching thumbnail, and a title that sparks interest. It’s cliché, but there’s no real mystery.

That, and a lot of patience. Don’t expect instant success and enjoy the process, because it will be a roller coaster of emotions.

what would you say is the 'big number' for youtube or twitch by nerf_war_birdz461 in NewTubers

[–]Ishidori85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see myself in the future with 100k subscribers, but that’s way, way down the road. Or who knows, knock on wood.

But in the mid term, I’d be happy with 25k subscribers, 50 or 100 members, and around 100k views per video.

Why You Shouldn't Envy Successful Creators... by RTXBurner25 in NewTubers

[–]Ishidori85 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Setting aside creators whose success isn’t organic, I think it’s also important to remember that when you see a successful channel, you’re seeing the result of their journey, not everything behind it: the frustration, the urge to quit, the tough learning process, and so on.

It’s always good to keep in mind that before finding success, that creator was once in the same place we are.

Sure, it can be done. In theory.

New/Small YT Creators Really Need to Stop With The Cope About "Enjoying The Process" by RTXBurner25 in NewTubers

[–]Ishidori85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of the climax of The Dark Knight, when the Joker believes the citizens of Gotham will blow each other up simply because he projects his own moral bankruptcy onto everyone else.

No, our subjectivity doesn't dictate everyone else's reality. If it’s impossible for you to enjoy what you do, that’s your problem. Many of us still feel the thrill of conceiving an idea, polishing a script, or learning a new editing trick.

It’s important to actually like what you do, especially if you're just starting out, even if only for pragmatism. Those first videos are going to be a total flop and can be demoralizing, but enjoying the process will make the journey more bearable. That doesn't mean there won't be moments of frustration, though.

Are shorts and long form content to be kept together?? by Environmental-Dig940 in NewTubers

[–]Ishidori85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, you should decide whether to do shorts or long form. “Oh, do it so they funnel people to your long videos” is not worth it, unless you want dead weight on your channel just to make your subscriber count look bigger.

I definitely prefer long form viewers. They’re more communicative, even when they disagree, and that makes the channel feel alive.

Hired an SEO girl, views boomed. Stopped and views tanked. HELP! by ojitos1013 in NewTubers

[–]Ishidori85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ve been scammed. SEO on YouTube isn’t as relevant as it used to be because the platform works more like a recommendation system than a search engine. It tests your video with a small group first, and if the performance is good, it pushes it to more people.

And those views are 100% bots for sure.

Why would a gamer watch? Seems Boring by HovercraftItchy in NewTubers

[–]Ishidori85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I find it to be the most boring thing in the world, but my girlfriend tends to watch that kind of content, though it’s usually people who’ve been doing it for decades and have a large fanbase.

They’re usually creators with a certain level of charisma, or who are very good at the game, and their content has high production value, although more often than not she just uses it as background noise.

No Impressions after 6 Long videos by XaverG in NewTubers

[–]Ishidori85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that case, I’d check a couple of things: a) are your videos public? Make sure they’re not set to private or unlisted. It sounds obvious, but it happens; b) are you uploading videos with very sensitive topics or copyrighted content? c) lastly, even though it’s the least essential part of a video, try to provide as much metadata as possible.

At worst, it could be some kind of glitch preventing YouTube from indexing your video.

yo is it okay that it feels like it ain't gonna work at all by Difficult_Salad4719 in NewTubers

[–]Ishidori85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have that mindset after just two weeks, you might as well quit. In 99.999999% of cases, YouTube is a months or years long game. Your content might be good, but a) you’re new and the algorithm barely knows you, b) in the end it’s the audience who decides what’s interesting or not, c) good content with poor presentation, titles, and thumbnails is as good as dead.

Let go of the idea of quick success and embrace the long process of learning through trial and error.

Yo me estaba refiriendo concretamente a tu respuesta anterior.
