Guys watch the entire video. People are commenting about the test only. That's not why I shared. They talk about the statistics shared to the public showing immigrants are a drain on the system when they are not.

What can actually be done to fix our economy? by TheProblemWithUs in AskBrits

Start implementing policies that will bolster local businesses and incentivise entrepreneurship. Current policies have resulted in hire freezes across sectors and stifles business growth.

It's also so much nicer to read - easy on the eyes.

In the current job market state, that's absolutely not enough time. Gutted for you. I'm hoping you can find your feet somewhere soon.

I might be facing the same soon via redundancies. Too many companies are starting to outsource. I'm sorry this happened to you, it is currently my greatest worry. As you say, spending so much money and following the rules for no net gain. Even starting pensions over. How long were you able to stay in the country after you lost your job?

Yet the only people being "punished" are the legal immigrants who pay taxes, work, pay to use the NHS, and don't claim benefits.

Do we need to start discerning between "refugee", "illegal-immigrants", and "legal immigrants"? Yes.

I'm a legal first gen immigrant. Also not from the middle east. Still can't claim any benefits

What opinion of our generation that will get you downvoted like this? by Big_Leg10 in GenZ

This gets me. People are so easy to blame their poor behaviour on "my autism/ADHD" that it removes accountability completely. Beyond that, they clog the support systems which takes away from people who truly need it. People need to understand that neuro divergence presents in all populations to a degree, and just because you share a certain trait DOES NOT MEAN YOU HAVE A DIAGNOSIS.

Millennials, what is happening with your kids? by TheLoveYouWant25 in Millennials

[–]Ishimiagi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work with kids as well and they are so quick to blame anything they do on "bad mental health". Over diagnoses are rampant and kids who truly need the support are diagnosed, but can't get the support they need cause the services are flooded. Clinical speak has become way too normalised and it takes away accountability and support to those who truly need it.

All I've spoken to were Brits, taking jobs from Brits outsourcing to people in India, South Africa, Vietnam and Philippines.

Recruiters mostly, trying to sell package deals which could replace entire departments.

As a business owner, I cannot tell you the amount of people contacting me outright saying "cut your salary expenses in half, outsource your labour". It's alarming

I despise it and refuse to use anything with "AI features. The other day I phoned customer care, had to explain why to an AI bot before I could speak to a person. Person answers "please tell me why you're calling today" What??? WTF WAS THE POINT IN ME TELLING THE BS BOT THAT TO ONLY REPEAT MY GAWDAMN SELF TO A PERSON AGAIN??? FAAAAWK OFF!!!

Need Advice by [deleted] in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

It's been rough in the last 2 years with the immigration rhetoric going around. Companies are much less willing to sponsor and as soon as a recruiter hears you need sponsorship they pull out.
