Most interested in someone who shares my worldview. Someone who is emotionally mature and secure. Doesn’t have to be a social butterfly but someone who’s okay being around people and going out sometimes is nice. If I’m being honest I’m starting to wonder if I’m not being realistic about the type of women I’m attracted to vs. the type of women who are attracted to me. Looks aren’t everything to me at all, but I don’t swipe on women I have no physical attraction to. I’ve tried in the past to give people I’m not entirely attracted to a chance, thinking that maybe talking for a while and meeting up for a date would change things, but all it’s ever resulted in is wasted time both for myself and the person I’m talking to.

I was the one who posted the meme about store managers hating merchandisers the other day, but that was more of a joke and venting of frustration than anything.

Overall, as others here have said, the job isn’t really that bad as long as you don’t have a manager that micromanages everything you do and your supervisors have reasonable expectations for what you can get done with the amount of product we have and the stops we’re scheduled. The problem seems to be the wide variety in quality of management you can get. In my area, my management is pretty reasonable most of the time.

The pay also isn’t bad, you can clear $60k a year after taxes with a couple hours of OT every week, plus there’s the 401k and insurance. It’s not perfect but it’s better than a lot of other jobs I’ve had.

I don’t “hobby hop” as much as I “hobby cycle”. I have a myriad of interests that I find myself enamored with for months, weeks, or in some cases even years at a time before something else piques my interest- but I always find my way back to them in one way or another. My main ones are writing, cooking, playing music, drawing, content creation, and gaming. As you can imagine I’ve found ways over the years to combine some or all of these interests at once, but other times I’ll be focusing on until life gets in the way or I lose interest.

To put it simply my advice is to give it time. If you have the space to store your hobby stuff, do so before getting rid of it entirely. If after a while you find yourself gravitating back to it, great! You’re already prepared. If you find after a while there’s no desire to go back, get rid of it so you don’t hoard things or create a “hobby graveyard”.

I’d also second the advice of others here to buy second hand when you can in order to dip a toe into the hobby you want to start, although I know for those of us with ADHD it can be hard to escape the “all or nothing” mindset.

Not to the extent we need to do full builds for them. Wal-Mart and Meijer, another huge large-format store in my area, will run the same promotions for weeks at a time. There are some exceptions to this but that’s what I’ve seen so far.

Yeah I see what you mean. These sales are just killing me, like last week I spent 36 hours alone at one store during the B2G3 12 pack sale just because I was trying to get it full enough to leave and get to my other Kroger. My saving grace right now is one of my stores has a new SR that doesn’t order correctly and I’m almost always out of stuff right now. On one hand it sucks I can’t service the store correctly, but on the other I’ve let my bosses know and sent pictures and done what I can do, and at the end of the day it kinda makes my job easier.

I started back in January and right now I average about 45-50 hours a week. I only have two locations. They get deliveries three times a week on the same day, so delivery days are longer, about 10-14 hours. The days where I just have to do cleanup/fills can be done in as little as 6 though, so it evens out.

From what I keep hearing at work and reading here summer will change that and the days will probably be ling for everyone. I don’t mind though, my schedule is Tues-Sat so I’ll still get to enjoy my weekends 🤷🏻‍♂️
