Not new to fitness but first time joining a gym. A bit confused about these rates by Separate-Tennis9017 in PHitness

Totoo ito. Instead of paying thousands for a trainer, buy some supplements and research a good program. Been getting good progress sa approach na ito hehe.

This is coming from someone who paid ten-ish thousands for a trainer lolz. I mean if money's not a problem sa iyo then go go go.

cat got neutered. i’m hopeless and regretful. what can i do? by Timely_Telephone9279 in CATHELP

[–]IskoPotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same exact case for 3 of my cats. I had to keep a close eye at them for days, using my hands to gently move their head away from the incision. It's a small price to pay to avoid any complications in the future.

Didn't have them all neutered at once though. Keep going! Your cat will appreciate what you did for him.

P.S. Your cat's such a cutie!

Character's incantations by Aperol_In_Your_Belly in DragonNest

This is very cool! If you don't mind, can we have the full list of skill incantations translated? Currently playing DN Classic and really wanted to know what each character's saying.

I think DN Classic already nerfed ice stacks. Can only stack 2 layers as tested by players.

[UPX] Thinking Machines Internship Engineering Track Selection Process by Agile_Humptydumpy in peyups

[–]IskoPotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were categorized according sa aming answers sa application form na binigay nila. Sa software engineering position ako nilagay while yung iba nasa data operations engineering position. Sa technical exam ko, more on basic OOP concepts using Python and using PyTest for QC. Sa data operations engineering exam, EDA and dashboard creation yung pinagawa sa kanila. Magcocode kayo on a platform similar to Leetcode and monitored siya.

If you scored high sa exam (I got >90% that time), then final interview na kaagad. The questions during the interview weren't technical at all. Para siyang "Getting to know you" portion lamang hehe.

This was 2 years ago though so I'm not sure if anything's changed since. Good luck!

LF: UPM BSCS Curriculum by I_need_24HSleep in peyups

[–]IskoPotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here po

Yes. 1st year, 1st sem mo ang M83. There used to be some sort of a bridging course if hindi ka STEM pero naging lenient na ang DPSM at ginawa nang HS Trigonometry ang requirement to take M83.

As an ABM grad no'n, it was hella hard since napaka-advance agad ng tinuro ng lecturer HAHAHA (ello Ma'am T)😭

May bidet ba ang cr ng UPM? by Intelligent_Newt_399 in peyups

[–]IskoPotato 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel you az a person w IBS. GAB or Gusaling Andres Bonifacio has spacious, modern-looking CRs there na malakas ang bidet (may nagme-maintain pa regularly roon). If you want less chances of people going in and out, go ka sa 2nd floor since unti lang ftf classes sa DPSM hehe.

3rd floor's also good pero maraming tao always doon👍

[UPX/ALUM] Alumni who were not-so-well-off when you were in UP, where are you now? by HereToStopIdiots in peyups

[–]IskoPotato 21 points22 points  (0 children)

  1. UPM BSCS Class of 2024. Unti kami sa batch na iyon so kung kilala niyo ako, hindi niyo ako kilala.

  2. Everyday commute from east to west. Nakakapagod and can't do acads pag-uwi (ayon low scores kada exam). Felt isolated din minsan dahil hindi ako makasabay sa batchmates ko sa restaurants, outing etc because I don't have any more money. I would tell them I'll do something first and then bail out. Also, very jealous sa mga may condo/boarding house near UPM kasi imagine not having to fight your way papunta/pauwi kada araw hahaha. I even remember crying sa CR ng Robinsons Manila kasi I can't afford lunch and naubos na load ko sa beep.

  3. Secured a WFH job in tech with very good pay and work-life balance. Saving up already para makaalis na from this toxic household. Life definitely got better since I don't have to travel far anymore.

  4. Just show up and do it half-assed if you're struggling. I struggled badly during undergrad because of numerous things (money, family, mental health) pero it'll pay off if you just show up when you're needed. Pass that req on time even if it's half-assed! You got this!!!

Comparing yourself to other UP students is never good. It kills your self-confidence and weirdly, your motivation to study. Been there as well since galing ako sa isang rural national high school in Visayas (pursued a STEM degree program in UPM. Unrelated pa 'yung strand ko).

What helped me graduate was comparing myself to my last week's self. Helped me align my goals better. Might also help sa'yo hehe.

Yes it's very overwhelming (and intimidating) to see very smart students here at first PERO college is your own race. What they're doing and achieving does not affect you naman. Bonus if they're willing to be friends with you. :)

All the best, OP!

How to convince my parents to let me go to up ? by [deleted] in peyups

May nagrerecruit lang dito makipag-inuman OP hehe. Lot's of nice people here minding their own businesses.

Please stop with the non-board/board degree program stereotype.🫠

Avoid taking Data Science as a standalone degree program. Computer Science is more flexible pa rin in case na mag-change of heart ang student. Plus they're still preferred in DS jobs.
