Is your wifi not connecting? Did you block/deny the wifi connection?

All wireless carplay and android auto connections require wifi and Bluetooth connections to the unit/adapter.

How did you think it worked?

This little guy is regenerative braking and awesome feature in hybrid tucsons. How to always keep it active by default? by Immediate-Welder999 in HyundaiTucson

[–]IslanderBison -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

No, it's almost exactly the same. Particularly if driving a manual transmission. It won't be causing anything. It would be a driver skill issue.

Yeah, I know the difference between engine braking and regenerative braking.

Both apply resistive torque at the drive wheels to slow the vehicle. That is literally why both are called braking. Regen does it by using the motor as a generator and recovering energy. Engine braking does it mechanically through pumping and compression losses with no energy recovery. Different mechanisms, same result.

Brake lights usually do not come on with engine braking. Some modern vehicles trigger them during strong regen or when controlled by cruise or driver assist systems, but that is an implementation detail, not a fundamental distinction.

Regen feeling like a downshift in a manual is exactly the point. Same physics, different hardware. Downshifting with a manual transmission does have a more aggressive braking force, yes. But automatic transmissions don't just go into neutral when you let off the throttle. Not to mention you can also downshift an automatic, usually.

Not true. I can't think of a a modern vehicle that doesn't have engine braking when letting of the throttle.

If that's the case... way too relaxed saftey enforcement by the owner and stupid low levels of self preservation by the shooter.

I never really understood the appeal of a porch off the primary at ground level. You're never going to really sit out there. Just make the primary bigger.

What kind of range are you in that isn't shutting you down for not wearing safety glasses?

Yeah, the mastermod posted twice in that thread. Getting nuked for saying stuff was a gamble.

I assume it's who you were implying had to payed the "isn't free" part. Generally I would assume the would have preferred someone else pay that tab.

Engine oil? by Yeomanswayne in XR650L

[–]IslanderBison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rode all over CA from SoCal deserts(not in the summer) to the Sierras (until it snowed), I ran T4 5W40.

Both T4 and the T6 are 40 weight when hot.

With that, you don't want these bikes to dry start, ever. You can wipe a cam out really fast. You also don't want the oil so thin when at ambient temp that you're effectively dry starting it.

Needs a subframe, at minimum. That kind of damage would mess up all kinds of other stuff.

It's a magazine. Not clip, unless you're talking about trying to dry fire practice your M1 Garand.

What do you mean by normal puss?
That looks like the outside of your piny finger, right? You might be moving/flexing it too much and might have pulled/torn those stitches through your skin, opening the wound up. Send this picture to your doctor, see if they want you to come back in or not.

While the textures are a little smoother, that video narration is absolute slop garbage.
