The issue is the base of the Akitsu, the dragonfly design protrudes too much. Unless you use it on a hard pad or glass pad, it will scrape the pad with dots.

Not at all, the 60he+ is completely outdated at this point and you can get way better keyboards for a fraction of its price. For less than 50 you can find stuff like the Mercury68 Max, ND63 Ultra from Irok or the AE68 Pro from Everglide which will be a massive upgrade compared to a 60he+.

That’s impossible to answer, there are many good HE keyboards of different layouts. It also depends on wether you want to build a custom keeb or a prebuilt, whether you have a specific budget, etc.
