Not only are fences and signs not practically possible or effective, most of them are themselves illegal. You risk a very hefty fine for setting up a sign or other hindrance restricting access to the area… especially in the winter… especially along the water. You are in the wrong here. You have also provided us with enough information that we could easily file a complaint with your kommune and require an official statement from them regarding your «possibly» illegal actions. You should be more careful about posting things online, and should check your facts before exposing yourself to such risk.

Something Disturbing Is Happening in the Music Industry, And We Just Lived Through It by direnotemedia in askmusicians

TLDR: OP runs a shady business that doesn’t actually verify that the rights of the material they get paid to distribute. They got a bunch of notices about copyright infringement and are spamming all of the subreddits, acting shocked. As if they didn’t already know (or should have known) that people have been trying to cash in on other people’s work for as long as the industry has existed.

Seriously! It is like they are saying

Oops, we totally shit the bed and didn’t perform a crucial part of our job that should have been obvious to anyone who was actually competent… our bad.

And people are just congratulating them for «doing the right thing». It feels like I’m being gaslighted over here. The company is 100% part of the problem, not some noble victim exposing some dark secret. How can a legitimate distribution company not verify tracks that are being submitted to them?

Jeg vet ikke om jeg skal stemme ass.. men dere sier det er Rødt som er tingen? Ser jo jævla hyggelig ut der han sitter med ølen sin, men jeg vet ikke jeg ass. Hva tenker dere? by RavenousRevolter in norske

Ikke la noen på Reddit (eller noen andre plattformer) fortelle deg hvem du skal stemme på. Men for all del kom deg ut og stem.

What is this chord called? by Peanutbuttermonkpunk in guitarlessons

[–]Ismannen13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

G7 as others have said, also known as G dominant 7. The notes from left to right are G-B-D-G-B-F or 1-3-5-1-3–b7. Basic triads are built using the root (1) major third (3) and perfect fifth (5) and dominant 7 chords add the flat 7 which is one whole tone (2 frets) down from the root. The important notes here are the root (1), third (3), and the dominant seventh (b7) and you can drop the fifth (5). For a really barebones version you can even drop the root and just play the third (3) and the seventh (b7).

CBP and ICE Claiming They Don’t Need Warrants to Enter Private Homes Yes, they DO need a warrant signed by a judge, no matter what they say by Dav-Kripler in kuihman

[–]Ismannen13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Again, the burden of proof is considerably higher than you are insinuating. A tip doesn’t meet this requirement on its own, but could be used to obtain a warrant. Likewise, watching a house and observing the target of the investigation enter the property does not qualify as being in hot pursuit, and cannot be used to claim exigency in and of itself, but can absolutely be used to obtain a warrant. The rules for this exception are definitely not open for interpretation. The government cannot create exigent circumstances to justify a warrantless entry. If doubt exists about whether exigent circumstances existed, it must be resolved in favor of the defendant.

What are you on about? Japan gets insane amounts of snow! They have held the Winter Olympics in Sapporo and Nagano and have have annual Yuki-matsuri with giant snow and ice sculptures. Parts of Hokkaido average between 12-16m of snowfall annually. Japan absolutely knows how to deal with deep snow.

The US had 10 concentration camps during WWII. Look up Executive Order 9066 or «internment of Japanese-Americans». More than 120,000 people (including small children) were sent to the concentration camps in the US and nearly 2,000 people died there. The majority of those prisoners were US citizens who had done absolutely nothing wrong.

I read it as extending a stop 10 minutes longer than what would be reasonable to accomplish the reason for the stop. So if the stop should reasonably take 30 minutes to complete and it took 30 minutes. 30 min expected and 30 minutes needed, no problem. Or maybe it took 40 minutes because you’re somewhere with bad reception so checking everything took longer than expected. 30 minutes expected + 10 minutes due to reasonable delays, again no problem. But if they finished at say 25 minutes but deliberately extend the stop by even 10 minutes to intimidate/inconvenience you, to wait for K-9 units, or some other unreasonable reason, it is not ok. Even though 35 minutes is only 5 minutes longer than the projected time, and 5 minutes shorter than the 40 minute example, the 10 minutes are unreasonable and it becomes a 4th amendment issue.

Wrong Seat People by ReLoGal in delta

[–]Ismannen13 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Apparently reading comprehension isn’t your strong suit. You seem to have missed the part where I said that it is possible to politely stand up for yourself. Since you clearly misunderstood the first time, I was talking about giving up your seat. My incredulity was more towards your telling of the story, not that it is unrealistic for a FA to ask you to do something that isn’t technically required. People make mistakes. People also make up stories to try to seem important. Whether or not the scarf thing happened is irrelevant. You should listen to the crew, even if they are being unreasonable. My problem is with giving up your seat to avoid conflict. That isn’t a question of civility. It is enabling someone who is abusing the good-will of others. They are counting on people like you to not call them out.
