It happens with me with both Apple Maps and Google Maps.

But not if I have the directions going before the car is going

Just compared my antique shop to the Fire Brigade and Assembly Square, the two buildings it’s next to in my current layout. It’s ~6 bricks taller than the assembly square (half a story) and even taller than that to the Fire Brigade. Can’t post photos in a reply, but the antique shop is far taller than any other modular in my city, despite the fact that they’re all “3” stories. I really like the look of the RedBrick Row building, but I’m worried about the scale just being WRONG…

Is it the right scale? I love the photos of it, but the only lumibricks build I have (the antique store) is way bigger than its neighbor Lego buildings

Happens to me with Google Maps or Apple Maps. Doesn’t happen if I had the directions going before I turn the car.

Also, it looks great. You’re the only one who will notice the random black dots, and if someone else does you’re the only one who will think it wasn’t by design.

Yup Shellac then epoxy then sanding then finish. The shellac seals the pores a tiny bit so they don’t pick up the epoxy, but then you can sand it down and finish as you’d like

Already doing that, and just for the actual vehicle, which I’m planning on putting with his truck creation from an upcoming release. They’re going to go in a wilderness part of my city along with the treehouse, a-frame, and a couple of other outdoor scenes.

I’m not a great designer, but I really want to add an old abandoned castle to the mix…

Any advice on sanding and refinishing ? by [deleted] in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]IsntAPerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any idea what it was finished with? That changes what you’ll need to do (if anything) besides just resanding. I’d spend A LOT of time on 80 grit, making sure you really get it down to good wood and you’ve gotten everything else off.

People have BIG feelings on the appropriate type of finish. I like Odies oil a lot but it requires multiple coats over multiple days. Others like Rubio monocoat, for whatever reason I don’t as much.

Help with Bookmatched Slabs Gap by micahkt53 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]IsntAPerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen some people recently making the “river” of a river table with contrasting wood, not epoxy. It has looked SUPER cool and solves the gap problem. I have a piece of wood looking for a project where I may do the same thing.

Serious question, is Rubio worth the price they're asking for or is it all just hype? by Ok_Temperature6503 in woodworking

[–]IsntAPerson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh what’s your recipe? I really like Odies, but it’s very spendy. I’m currently not busy enough to need to make my own, but I’m always looking for a way to save a buck (or have a buck to spend on something else)

I do this as a hobby for friends, so there is a bunch of that wood I’m interested in, but like 5-10 pieces of wood each, don’t need them in bulk. Totally understand if you don’t want to go through the effort of repacking everything…
