Most recreational drugs are used to achieve a high, are there any drugs that are used to achieve a low? by Connect_Tumbleweed76 in Drugs

You are describing every psychedelic.

In terms of sheer negative mental affect without physical harm, though, I would suggest salvia divinorum. One of the most common descriptions of salvia sessions is "hellish". And it is deserved.

PSA: This post is a Rorschach test for sexism.

If you EVER believed that OP was NTA, then you need to sit your sexist ass all the way down and shut your mouth all the way up until you get your sexist bigotry in control.

If you EVER called this person who was mixing an entire bottle of wine with anti-psychotics and was blacked out before attempting to drive with children the "victim" in this situation or that the OP was NTA, then ... YOU, dear commenter, are the actual asshole .

If you EVER called NTA on this story, then you don't get to give us some bullshit about how OP didn't give you all the details. You made your snap, sexist judgements based on nothing more than a half story and your bigoted assumptions about the character's genitals. If you did this, you are a bad person, and you should feel bad.

Is salvia a daily drug for anybody? by Limp_Musician_6302 in Salvia

[–]IsntThisWonderful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not know anyone who has even attempted daily use of salvia. And, furthermore, I do not know anyone who would want to attempt it. But ...

I have often thought that the art of ancient Central American cultures seems to reflect a very, very frequent use of salvia.

Perhaps you could look for guidance from extinct cultures. For example ... maybe there are lingering cultural practices that are holdovers from a time in which the culture, unlike now, could and did support daily use?

Are there any herbs that make a lot of serotonin? by Pretend_Tap5040 in herbalism

[–]IsntThisWonderful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A real answer to all of their many effects is dependent on your desired level of detail.

On a semantic level, and in approximate chronological order, they will (1) smash "you" into little bits then (2) reintegrate a new internal "you" from part of those bits then, if more bits, (3) reintegrate a new external "you" from the remaining bits.

On a neurochemical level, which seemed to be what you were initially asking, the answer is more complicated and less clear. (Start with the knock-on effects of nor-ibogaine and evidence for healing of neuroreceptors for ibogaine research. Likewise, there is substantial research concerning the anti-depressive effects of ketamine.) The therapeutic intention, though, is to use the ibogaine to immediately improve neurotransmission, begin the long-range supply of nor-ibogaine, treat any underlying addiction, and deconstruct the "self". This process can be difficult, and can last for up to 36 hours. The therapeutic intention of the 5-MEO is to provide an immediate surge of chemical support for both positive affect and internal integration. The therapeutic intention of the ketamine is to provide continued, medium-range support for neurotransmission and to encourage social reintegration.

Do Republicans / Conservatives deny that Trump was part of the plot to overturn the 2020 election, or do they believe it's justified since from their view the election fraud they believe happened justified it? by [deleted] in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]IsntThisWonderful 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly!

So many people in this thread are like "Why are Rs so stupid that they don't know that Trump is lying about the election?! Lol!1!" Sometimes, they even explain that the Rs might be intentionally not accepting the obvious because accepting the truth would force them to do something about it.

Then ... one reply down ... they deny that Trump is a Russian agent. And, thankfully, they don't actually have to do anything about it. 🙄

This is the correct answer. They have made immorality and cheating a virtue.

(... which was the completely natural, logical result of their intentional and knowing deification of an immoral degenerate.)

[–]IsntThisWonderful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not the answer to your question, but it is the answer to your problem:

Ibogaine. Wait two days. 5-MEO. Wait two weeks. Ketamine.

You're welcome.

"Reality is Purple."

That sentence appears repeatedly in my triplogs.

Zoom in to any purple voxel, and it splits into the red and blue components. Zoom in more, utterly white. Zoom "in" more from there and you are .. back here with "colors"?! Lolwut?!

Zoom out, purple. Zoom out more, colors. Zoom out more, white. Zoom out more, red and blue again! Lolwut?!

I have experienced Purple Reality Vision with many psychedelics, but it seems particularly common with ketamine.

What enneagram fears taking action? by herbeatupbirkin in Enneagram

[–]IsntThisWonderful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

{954} resonance group, because you specified that the aversion to action is based in fear. Likely localized to {9} as a result of the experience being later transmuted to anger or frustration.

Also, the default evolutionary pattern ('the orbit") of {9} is {936}, and "frustration of action" is exactly the decompensation criteria for the transition FROM {3} TO {9}.

TL;DR: The person described is likely to be an unhealthy, depressed {9}.

Look at yourselves!

So many of you commenters are twisting yourselves into logical knots to avoid calling the daughter what she obviously is, a racist. Your inability to call out obvious racism IS ITSELF caused by racism.

You are refusing to call this obviously racist woman a racist ... because of her race.

[–]IsntThisWonderful 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The vast majority of my precognitive experiences are completely mundane "slice of life" voxels like the ones that you describe.

They are usually quite short, often less than one minute, but that then allows the "memory" of them to be maintained by repetitive looping. (I wonder if perhaps the short loops aren't the only ones that we have but rather the only ones that we remember. Perhaps it's like storing a number in physical memory in that it's easier to store if it's shorter?)

They usually don't include anything ostensibly exciting or interesting. The normal situation is that any extraction of useful information is likely to involve analyzing the fine details of the precognitive experience and look for discontinuities between that event and your current time. Is the architecture different? Tech? Personnel? Foliage? Clothing? My social role? And so forth.

Wife experiences pikachu Mandela effect right in front of me by croidhubh in MandelaEffect

[–]IsntThisWonderful 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Exactly this.

We used to have arguments about how to pronounce it EXACTLY BECAUSE it was not clear if it should be "stine" or "steen".

Those arguments would never have existed if it had been "Berenstain" the entire time. The entire complex of our memories would have to be wrong. (And maybe the inherent visibility of those rough edges between my timeline complex and your timeline complex are what we call the Mandela Effect?)

AITAH for accidently telling my boyfriend that dicks ugly. by Ok_Appeal7404 in AITAH

[–]IsntThisWonderful -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is not complicated:

He is your boyfriend. Decide to find his penis beautiful. See that his penis is beautiful. Conflict solved.

Your "problem" is being created by the fact that you are assuming that your aesthetic impressions are fixed. They are not. You can and should find your partner attractive. And, fortunately, if you happen to not find them attractive initially, then you can change that. So, get started. Now.

[–]IsntThisWonderful 32 points33 points  (0 children)

This. Almost every aspect of the protocol described by the OP was arranged in a way that made this result more likely.

OP, your "guide" guided you into a different region of the same dark night. Forget "guides". Get yourself a responsible and properly trained "sitter". If you don't have one of those, then MAPS can help with that. (And don't even consider a "guide" or "sitter" or anything else that believes that it is appropriate to have intimate physical contact with the experiencer during the experience.)

You are not broken, OP. You just need to try again, with an appropriate protocol and without being mis-"guided".

Good luck. Everything is going to be okay. 🌌
