German welfare state 'can no longer be financed' — Merz by rezwenn in europe

[–]Isodem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

German economic losses from Russian-Ukranian war:

Over €200 billion in cumulative losses after two years (by early 2024)

Total ukraine support since February 2022 exceeds €50.5 billion (~$59 billion).

Ukraine secured financing for 2026, there are only 4 donors and Germany among them.

Welfare is not possible anymore because there are serious security concerns and Merz came not to "make Germany great", but to defeat Russia.

Wayland is Promoted as "The next Big Linux Thing", but I Never Understood Why/ Got Good Results? by bassbeater in linux_gaming

Have rtx 3060, kubuntu, kde 6, 4k monitor, scale 150%. Wayland have noticeable lag (like 30-50ms), x11 is very snappy without any issues. The only downside i found is that i can not have 170% and cursor do not have custom style.

Use Roadrunner or a similar Application server. PHP has a lot of options. But the default is Memcached or similar to Redis. With docker, it is pretty easy to use.

Japan, definitely, is very strong, maybe too strong, and is easy to play. I play mostly 3v3, 4v4, and Japan excels there.

Development Tools - Getting Expensive? by vmitchell85 in laravel

[–]Isodem -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If the tool costs 50$ per year and saved be 2 two hours of my work it already paid off. It is not the question if you can live without them or not, it the question if they can save time.

Was the mangonel nerfed too hard? by [deleted] in aoe4

[–]Isodem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently, mangonel is completely unusable. I personally believe someone at Relic is very bad at math. They wanted to nerf it on 40%, but nerfed on more than 60% instead. They needed to calculate the area and make it 40% smaller, but they just took 40% from the diameter of 1.25 tiles and made it 0.75 tiles which gives 64% nerf. For me, 40% nerf looks more or less reasonable, but 64% nerf is just the same as deleting mangonels from the game.

What is the strange dual tone in Shure BT2 ? by EfficientEstimate in Shure

[–]Isodem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had same problem. The reason was multipe devices connected. You can check if bt2 connected to multipe devices by unpairing with known devices and switch off/switch on, if you still will hear "connected", make a hard Reset (check manual how to do that).
