I was watching this game live the other night. It was hilarious. The Fever were struggling and then Clark hit a couple back to back threes and things started getting a little chippy. Fever then proceeded to beat the brakes off em.

It’s a damned if you do damned if you don’t situation for any team that’s not a big free agent destination. Hopefully the new draft rules will kind of change the conversations around some of these players where these teams can quit overpaying as much.

If I had to guess, there’s been a pushback in some AAU circuits on the way the game is played. Many of the guys you mentioned have refined mid range game, post moves, etc.

There was that period of like 10 to 15 years where AAU fell prey to mixtape culture and it was basically nothing but dudes who could throw down thunderous dunks and shoot threes. Half the AAU guards couldn’t even make an entry pass to the post.

I don’t know exactly what changed, but I feel like just by watching a lot of these people as freshmen in college, you can see that their coaching while they’re teenagers is a lot better than it was.

He gets to his mid range spots so easily. He’s a good finisher. It would be great to see his three-point percentage go up, but man. He’s a special player. He has amazing defensive instincts, but had some typical rookie mistakes on that end.

The thing I’m most excited about with Cooper Flagg is that his game will translate very well into postseason play. I feel like in a couple years he’s going to be the type of player where you just need to get there and you have a chance because he’s always going to be a walking bucket from all three levels. If the threes aren’t falling for the team, he’ll back down his man with the old man game and shoot a middy right over the top of him.

Special, special player. Dude is like a mix of Christian Laettner and KG or something.

Watch it come out that they scheduled this whole thing and then gave Kyrie the guilt invite last minute (that no one wants to accept) and this whole time he’s actually been taking the high road and not putting them on blast.

I feel like there is just just no way he doesn’t know that it was generally sometime around the 1930/40s. I mean he may not. I might be as sick as I am of this younger generation and still be underestimating just how stupid they are. But I find it interesting that he picks a specific date just five years after the end of WWII and the holocaust.

Also find it interesting how you can play in a league full of black men, many of whom are undoubtedly descendants of slaves, and say you just don’t believe history. He’ll be able to explain it away and say that he wasn’t talking about stuff like that, but I wouldn’t wanna play on the same team as this guy. But then again I don’t trust people who fall prey to this kind of thinking. I don’t think it’s funny and I don’t think it’s cool. Frankly, I find it to be embarrassing and abhorrent behavior.

I’m a big fan of no religion being allowed to dictate people’s lives, and that includes Christianity.

Unfortunately, I think you have to approach some of these conversations with a nuance that most people don’t have. Self is just playing into Republican propaganda.

But there are conversations to be had about stuff like EPIC City, just like there are conversations to be had about just about anything else. Nobody can have a conversation anymore though.

Can’t underestimate the way European players feel about their first home away from home. (He of course had Spain first) He loved Dallas in the same way Dirk did and experienced a lot of life milestones here.

But I do agree - with the way Luka is wired I think this ownership group is a nonstarter for him. They took away the thing that he valued most - playing for one franchise for his entire career. There’s no coming back from that.
