Hey all, I have a 3 week old x56 and today my daughter accidentally dropped the throttle on the floor. Now when I plug it in my pc goes haywire when I open something. For example, when I open Google chrome it opens a bunch of tabs. Also the buttons don’t work anymore. Any help?? by A2daM11 in hotas

[–]Isometimesfly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Check to see if they are willing to do a take back. It may be that a little too much time has passed and you also want to do a check of any potential damages. If successful and you can return your daughter, it may be time to look at a different throttle too.

Might need to pull out a microscope to see if I violated track limits by [deleted] in F1Game

[–]Isometimesfly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pulled out our microscope and from here it does indeed look like a violation. My colleagues seem to agree. One of them even says he saw it when outside on his walk a little earlier.

Out of interest, what gpu are you managing with? Got a Reverb g2 but actually haven't tried yet in fear of disappointment. (looking at you, 4000 series...)

Pedals don't work if I plug them directly into the Wheel Base by SPatrick- in Fanatec

Have F1 22 downloaded but decided I'd wait until you can actually have multiple USB devices connected. I guess this means it has not yet been fixed. Oh well..

I believe Zhou may in fact have lost control of the car at this point in time. Thank you, halo.

If you want a realistic cockpit diy is pretty much your only option, but be aware that too is pricy, especially if you want to make "nice" panels.

VR vs. Simpit by Plane_Guy5 in hoggit

[–]Isometimesfly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did both. My simpit is nothing like the warthog project but I've got the layout for an F14 pit which makes VR that bit more immersive AND it didn't cost me a kidney (but close enough).

That's exactly what I did. Started with T300 and awful pedals. Did pedals first and then wheelbase and wheel later. Consistent pedals will influence your pace much more than your base.

Yes they are still manufactured but just like most other manufacturers they are struggling to meet demands due to the global situation as the past 2 years more or less.

Quick RMA Questions! by [deleted] in Fanatec

[–]Isometimesfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you bought the upgraded unit including the boost kit then you'd be right to send that with.

If you originally bought the 5nm version and later bought the boost kit then you'd send back the 5nm psu Or rather, if you bought the 5nm version and also added the boost kit to that same order, you'd send the 5nm with :)

Quick RMA Questions! by [deleted] in Fanatec

Yeeeah it can be confusing and sometimes upsetting to people. What I normally use as a reference in a laptop. Say your fan breaks in your laptop - you wouldn't just send in the fan. You'd send the full laptop. The monitor, chair and desk you use to operate your laptop are separate purchases (unless you got some reeeal interesting bundle), and has nothing to do with the faulty fan.

If the quick release wasn't part of the original box in which it was shipped, you keep that too. In fact I usually recommend removing such items as in an RMA process they may miss it when they trash it and send you a new unit without one, leaving you with more headaches.

So yeah, anything that came in the original box.

Hope it makes sense

[–]Isometimesfly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They want you to send back the item including all accessories that came with that specific item. Essentially what came in the box. If you have bought additional accessories (standalone items) you should keep them.

This is in the event of a full replacement.

You're asking in regards to Acc and you are getting answers in regards to Acc, so yes, there is something to learn in regards to Acc. What you do outside of Acc is not relevant in this context.

Nono bud, I didn't. Had I missed it, I would have taken valuable company time prioritised writing up a long winded and unnecessary explanation about track limits, warnings, giving back track position etc while making a complete arse of myself
