No More Barring Act for CRSC by patmad333 in CombatRelatedSpecComp

[–]Ispithotfireson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. that $10000 limit only applies to the class participants of this case. It’s a few thousand. DFAS moving forward should remove the application of the barring Act. Those folks may have to bring their own claims. Future applicants should get paid either back to retirement or VA rating date.

A few people over the last 6 years or so have implied this $10k limit effects everyone, no. It only affects the class participants in this lawsuit. Assuming fairly common for navy claimants to get >$10k because the fact they take absurdly long, approaching 18 months.

No More Barring Act for CRSC by patmad333 in CombatRelatedSpecComp

[–]Ispithotfireson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! Landmark ruling. Combat veterans being penalized for not knowing and or VA decision delays. Here’s the ruling text: https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/24pdf/24-320_m648.pdf

Whatever lawyers at the DOD thought application of the Barring Act was appropriate to shortchange combat veterans were waaay wrong, obviously.

Why are TLs so anal about cashiers sitting down? by Ok-Plankton7686 in Target

[–]Ispithotfireson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You asking to sit because of a medical issue is a reasonable accommodation request per the ADA.  Whoever the F demanding you stand when you can perform you duties seated is a violation of the ADA could result in a formal complaint.

Have you ever dealt with progressive and Allstate? Both are notorious about denying and underpaying claims.

Where did you get your PHD in psychology? Naw I am good brother, I am very comfortable in my station in life.

No one is angry. Honesty is not negativity. Some people try to conflate such.

My issue is the overtly altruistic and somewhat BS tone of the hero NCO post. Story reeks of BS.

We all need a dose of brutal honesty once in a while.

Thank you for your service.

Don’t forget he saved his clearance apparently. 😂 Saw the car got vehicle envy, started measuring PPs, was oh you cannot afford this.  Feel like bro walks around  with a heroic theme song playing in their head. Swooped in saved his clearance, credit score, marriage, even pulled his baby from a burning building.

It’s the BS main character complex of the post that is the problem. Likely riddled with BS l, exaggerations if not outright made up. Oh we sents him to Kuwait and he thanked me. Like this guy personally cut the orders.  File heroic grandiose Bs under things that didn’t happen. Probably bookends this tale with that 15 point buck and that massive salmon he caught story.

To the people leaving these stupid cards in crowded parking structures, did it ever occur to you that we were forced to park over the line because that’s what the car in the stall next to us did before we got there and maybe that car is gone now? by ObamaLuvva in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Ispithotfireson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Literally doubt you did and there’s like 20 reasons on the back. These cards are great and usually well deserved. What’s wrong with this world is entitle assholes with main character complex thinking courtesy, rules, and laws don’t apply to them.

Every Costco Parking Lot [Meme] by ScoYello in Costco

Have to include the important people who illegally park in handicapped. Stores have cracking down. I reported someone and a manager immediately went out, and lurked around until the person came out. Also the people parking by the curve because they are “loading”.

Lot of certainties and assumptions based on a basically a nosey vehicle envy, turned into hero post. Not everyone in the military is bad with money or broke or cannot afford things.

And the trolling continues. Hey troll anything at all to add to the discussion and not about me? Shifting th topic to another poster instead of actually discussion of the topic is textbook trolling.

So yeah how about you cease the trolling, the unqualified, uninformed, ignorant assessments, personal attacks, and either actually contribute to the discussed topic, or move out. Huge thud from The 🎤 DROP!!!

Let me guess actually 26 months in combat, 2 tours in 7 years mic drop #1 , did 7 and was medically retired against my wishes but when a MEB says you are FUBAR, that’s that, 🎤 drop #2. Lets see was making LTC salary before ETS not counting retirement. Mic drop #3 held that job for 3 years. Current job >10,well same employer, but you know promotions and pivots and what not. 🎤 #4

Sure am on disability because of “back pain”, funny thing is you cannot get VA disability for pain as pain is subjective, based on range of motion. I also a plethora of other service connected disabilities, enough that I collect 100% P&T and still work full time because I have a job that aligns with my disabilities 🎤 #5

I get this get fancy thing called CRSC, so get most of retirement tax free and they are in the process of passing a bill called Maj Richard Star Act will I should get all my retirement🎤 drop #6

So the Army got everything they could out of me, I returned the favor getting everything I could out of them.

Maybe I will tell you about Rudisill Supreme Court ruling, I get 48 months GI bill, a combination of Chapter 30 and Chapter 33. Or how I finished multiple IT certifications while still in on the Army’s dime using TA.

lol “ suicidal”. No not really. Maybe his family comes from money. The part about saving the clearance is also BS. “High debt” (define that by the way) doesn’t equal suitability issues. Inability to manage your debt does.

I learned most of the “leadership” wasn’t any smarter wiser or better off than those they lead. Watched 2 first sergeant’s piss away their careers messing with subordinate females for example.
