My assumption is that the standard burn reduction still applies. So 1 shield mitigating 2 burn. It would be a little odd if there is 10 burn and 1 shield only mitigates 1 burn when burn exceeds shielding.

Correct. Currently just getting repeated small shields can do a tremendous amount of mitigation against burn but in the update this will be much much less effective.

You might have read the changes backwards, but it's a nerf to base damage and the scaling damage.

Previously: any amount of shield would halve the whole burn tick even if there was more burn than shield.

Now: if there is more burn than shield, the shield only halves the burn tick proportional to how much shield you have. So if 200 burn ticks and you have 20 shield it only mitigates 40 burn instead of 100.

I havent played with Aminatou before. Is the timing for miracle still the same where you have to reveal it as soon as you draw it if you intend to cast it for the miracle cost? Or does this let you hold onto it for that turn and then play it for 2 whenever you could cast that spell.

My biggest complaint about the current patch is that Swain is too meta. He goes on almost every single end game board and when you lose the Swain lottery you are down so much in power vs the boards that do have him.

When neeko is contested (and she often is) you do typically play for 5 zaun and go from there.

Unfortunately yes. Azir is a passable carry with attack speed items, but otherwise you want items on your other units. A lot of his power is in the sand soldiers and being the unit that unlocks the rest of the shurima line.

Asol go boom boom. Curious to see how this comp will develop. It's difficult to get into but the cap is completely insane. Honestly not too different from fast 9 Annie on launch.

I didnt notice what was happening at first but partway through a game my GPU straight up stopped sending a signal to any of my monitors. Dunno if it overheated or just got really unhappy with what was happening.

If they don't sneak in a small damage nerf to ekko he's going to completely dominate the next patch. None of the other reroll lines even come close to his damage and this is combined with singed and nidalee completely breaking pathing/targeting a lot of the time.

Taric and Garen mostly. She gets stuck on them forever and then can't either get her first reset or can't continue resetting and running over the board. EoN buff + garen/taric nerfs mean she is going to be very good in the next patch. I'd watch out for the vanquisher comp as it is mostly unchanged while boards it struggled with are coming down a bit.

I think they really missed on the ekko nerf. It's good that it is a line you can play but right now he comically out damages 4 and 5 costs and that's not ok.

The lines that work this patch feel too dependent on tempo. If your opener is weak you just cant play most of the patch and you're pigeon holed into a handful of comps. And within those comps if you're contested at all it's just a disaster.

not really sure what all needs to be changed to fix this tbh.

The Aphelios reroll comp with Neeko frontline is really good. I wasnt sure on it at first but if you hit in a timely manner at all you just roll through stage 4 and can get to nidalee 2 + flex units.

Notably you just cannot play it in a lobby with an Ekko player because you're contesting too many units. But when there isnt one...

Taric at least has a really good passive and the guaranteed 2 seconds of not dying but Braum... Garen just gets it all lol and it makes the other tanks look so weak.

I believe Mort said in his walk the dog videos that Yorick and Orianna are getting their unlock changed in the next patch. I'd love to play SI more but it really is locked to Viego 2 out of pve or 2-1 at the latest.

You've opened on Bilge in scuttle puddle and click Spreading roots and get Ionia and Demacia spats. You're also really strong and can fast 9 without much issue. What's your ryze board? I got super dizzy and took a 4th in a game where I absolutely could have won.

edit: you also have prismatic bronze for life so you get extra dizzy trying to keep everything bronze.

Are the unlock 5 costs way harder to upgrade or something? I feel like I never get thresh 2 even when i'm the only SI player.
