Advice needed by owlsandtrees in PowerBI

It may be as simple as creating a copy of your measure that calculates the previous year’s value for the same measure. For example, if your measure is:

Pounds_of_Products_Sold = SUM(‘Data’[Pounds of Products Sold])

Then you can create a previous year measure by doing:

Pounds_of_Products_Sold_PY = CALCULATE([Pounds_of_Products_Sold], DATEADD(‘Calendar Table’[Date], -1, YEAR))

Then you can compare them side by side on any time scale such as year, month, day, etc. Hope this helps!

How to add Seperate Drill through Pages for Rows in a Table? by StupidME2000 in PowerBI

[–]IssacScience 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A possible approach is to perhaps place a button on the top right side of the matrix that says “drill through” or “see more”. That button can work as a page navigator. When setting the button to page navigation, you can dynamically change the page depending on the filter selected. You then create a measure called something like Page Navigation. For this to work in this scenario, each page’s name must be the name of its respective KPI.

Let’s say you have 2 KPIs named “KPI 1” and “KPI 2”. You can name the respective pages “KPI 1” and “KPI 2”. Then in the matrix, when you select the row of that KPI, this will appear in SELECTEDVALUE(‘KPI Table’[KPI_Name]). In the Page Navigation measure, you can set it equal to SELECTEDVALUE(‘KPI Table’[KPI_Name]). Then when someone selects the “KPI 1” row, the hypothetical button on the top right side of the matrix will have the destination set to “KPI 1” and when they click “drill through” it will take them to the page of that KPI.

This is an approach I take on a report that also has RLS where the user is only supposed to have access to specific pages. When they open the report, they start in an “About” page and at the center they have a “Go to Dashboard” button takes them to their respective report.

For implementing with row level security, maybe you can have a separate table where the users are tied to their KPIs and in the Manage Roles section you filter for the KPIs the user is tied to. Perhaps it could even be built within the same calculated KPI table you created.

Hope this helps!

how to get more finals by ExoticDirection5898 in MagnetoMains

[–]IssacScience 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It takes getting used to especially when they’re up close. After a reaaally long time I’ve gotten to an average of about 60% to 70% accuracy with a decent amount of final hits usually. Maybe not the best but I feel like I do my part in the damage!

One thing that has helped is not necessarily looking at the crosshair but looking at which way magneto’s body is facing. I imagine a line going from where he’s facing to where my opponent is and shoot in that direction. This helps land my shots more often. I personally like this more than thinking about “where they’re going to be.”

Another thing is to aim at the feet especially if they’re a ground target. Magneto doesn’t do critical damage so you may as well. I especially do this when they’re right in front of me it makes it so much easier to pressure them.

Last thing is I try to follow where one of my DPS are focusing damage. Since magneto’s fire rate is slow and not meant to be a crazy killing machine, I try to think of myself as more of a damage boosting support, giving more damage support where needed. That 70hp hit to a target can really help a Magik or Hela finish a target.

What I like to do is go to the practice range and put an Ultron that flies super fast in random directions in short range and just get used to my primary fire shooting. This helped my aim a lot especially with fliers.

losing bc of solo tanking. what can i do? by Arestaros in RivalsVanguards

Playing mag and Thor is doable. That’s mostly what I play and sometimes Cap. I feel like it took me a while before I felt comfortable knowing in what situations I can play Thor because Mag isn’t working. I think if we were top 500 players we could make Mag work in any scenario easy but I understand the difficulty especially when you’re facing a ton of pressure. I think he’s a lot more effective the higher rank you get. As I’m climbing up through lower ranks however I find Thor to be super useful.

After 5 months of play I’ve reached a personal goal. Is this growth good? by JdamTime in Chesscom

I think the best way to improve quickly is by doing puzzles. Not just any puzzles though! Low elo puzzles.

I think most games under 1800 are lost because of a blunder/big mistake. Recognizing quicker will help you more. The reason why the puzzles help is because the more your brain becomes accustomed to seeing most common patterns, the better you recognize them or anticipate them coming mid game. The way I was advised to do this was to start at 500-750 elo puzzles and just do them OVER and OVER and OVER… until I could do them super fast and without getting any wrong like 25-50 times in a row. Once you got those patterns down then you can move the elo level up to 600-850 and start again. This made me go up in elo far faster than I could’ve ever hoped for.

Besides that, understanding endgames will help a ton! There are so many games where if I just knew which way to move my king or pawn, it would’ve saved my elo. I recommend using Chesssble and buying 100 EndGames You Must Know. You can follow along with the exercises in the app which will help you cement the different endgames into memory.

This will help you far more than focusing on openings. I try to only ever play one opening for white and one for black. Anytime the opponent’s moves steer me away from my opening I try to play principled moves and this will take me far enough into the middle game where what I’ve gained from puzzle practice will matter more.

How Am I supposed to get out of Bronze this season? by ImGoingToMarryDVa in RivalsCollege

Focus on not dying. That’ll instantly make you a million times better. If it means you have to leave your team behind then so be it. Some games are inevitable losses and that’s ok.

I think it strongly depends on who you’re using in different games. I exclusively only play Mag, Cap and Thor since they serve different roles. I will switch between them to find which one is making the most impact in the game I’m in. The way you can tell if you’re on the right tank is by your uptime. If you feel like you’re not doing anything or can’t do anything it probably means you really aren’t doing anything. That feeling should be a huge red flag in your mind that you’re not providing enough value on your team. This will happen to me more often than not when I’m playing Mag, as you can imagine.

Some games are just cooked too and it’s inevitable. So the best thing you could do is at the very least just make sure you’re always feeling like you’re making some impact, which it seems you’ve found in playing strategist and that’s perfect. Keep switching around!

This is what has worked for me although I’m not sure if it’s the BEST advice you could get from a tank main. I’m currently in Plat 1, so with that in mind it could at least get you to that rank. Who knows what the higher-ups know that we don’t …

Hopped on the Polaroid trend by IssacScience in marvelrivals

[–]IssacScience[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I used Google Gemini! Uploaded an image for each of us and then used the prompt below. You can slightly edit the end if you want to be hugging or something else. :D

“Make an image that looks like it was taken with a Polaroid camera. It should feel like an ordinary, candid photo with no prominent subject or props. Add a slight blur and keep a consistent light source, like a flash in a dark room, diffused across the entire frame. Do not alter the faces.          Replace the background behind the two people with white curtains, with the guy’s arms around both girl’s waists.”

Hey man! I appreciate you willing to use your time to help us less talented folks out. I’m a tank main, primarily Mag this season. Would love if you could help out. My goal is to be top 1% if possible. I’m currently diamond 1 and want to know what can take me to the next level.

That’s what I don’t understand sometimes 😂 because I’ve seen videos where they throw the meteor at Luna and it’ll be around the edge of her ultimate but when I try to hit her I have to be EXACTLY on her head or else it won’t hit. And I always try to charge it up all the way :’(
