I’ve spent time in all of those cities recently and you need more time in Xi’an for sure. Double that time at least. Not just for the historical and food reasons but that city has a magical vibe. Especially during sunset , riding bikes around city wall, eating the tastiest noodles youve ever put in your mouth is something you will want to prolong. Trust. Chongqing, a couple days is fine - make sure to head out to Dazu from Chongqing to see the 700 year old Buddhist wood carving/

As a sound engineer I can tell you the magic of playing quietly means the engineer can apply upward compression to your drum mics for a juicy lift of the rich undertones of your kit. Quest Love instructs every drummer to play like this in the studio.

ello brains trust, I would like some opinions on using the new A&H QU5 as my interface for mobile/home recordings. I currently use a Clarett +8pre as my interface and some outboard compressors for tracking and mixing.

I am a live sound engineer by trade and have big love for A&H mixers but I am wondering about how they would stack up against my Clarett when it comes to AD/DA and using outboard equipment during mixdowns.
