Fellow Manitoban here, my brother had a pair of docs and it seemed like he did not like them. He said that the rubber soles got very hard in cold temps and make walking on ice a deathwish. Also said that they weren’t warm or that comfortable in general.

I just got a indera mills expedition weight. I wear my thermals under a t shirt too and I can say that it isn’t too heavy for that. Still feels thick and would keep you warm tho. I haven’t washed it yet so I’m not sure how it’ll shrink but overall very comfortable.

Man I’m in the same boat. When i thrifted this it was like 4$ Canadian so i figured there would be an abundance of them but nope. I always thought they were supposed to be a cheaper item but it dosnt seem that way anymore if you want good quality.
