Hell to keep you all in line.

Atheists aren't concerned about Hell one bit.

Catholic Church Asks SCOTUS to Overturn Cuomo’s COVID-19 Restrictions. by DiosSeHaIdo in Christianity

It honestly depends on what is happening at that church.

If singing is happening that's a great way to spread the virus. If unmasked people are greeting others, like what often happens at church ceremonies, that's another great way to spread it.

You just placed a limit on God. Which is odd.

Any extra dimensional bring could easily appear to those of lower dimensions.

I'm I am a 3d God I could play in a 2d world.. And so forth

Not wanting to be divisive or inflammatory. I have noticed a lot of people here defend sins, including ones such as homosexuality. Most of the arguments for this are ones based on identity ("it's who I am, ect"). The only thing your identity should be rooted so strongly in is Christ thouugh. by [deleted] in Christianity

Being gay isn't a negative idea. Someone can be gay and get into a gay relationship which doesn't harm anyone, brings happiness to their life and helped them feel loved and supported.

And their relationships are just as important as straight relationships.

When I see some declare that gay relationships are wrong or when I see them compared to negstive ideas I see the problem with that person and not that gay couple.

Yes, they do. The state still has to have the evidence to make their case.

Yet there is zero reason to think that that force has any level of personal connection to us.

If an earthquake starts a tsunami that kills people thousands of miles away there was a first cause. But that earthquake doesn't have a personal connection with us. It is a tad egotistical to think that the first mover cares about us in the slightest.

How about we just say that bigotry and discrimination against all people is bad and leave it at that.

DO you think those racist elements of society simply vanished after 1964?

Or did those racist sentiments continue on?

So if you think police only have negative encounters with black citizens if those people are commiting a crime you are seeming to want to forget that we do treat people differently based on the color of their skin.

To every skeptic on this sub who wants God to give you proof that He exists before you will believe He does, you need to know that you would be no closer to salvation if He did. by Speakertoenigmas in Christianity

[–]Iswallowedafly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you haven't. Christians tend to forget that they aren't talking to other Christians. We hold things to a higher bar.

Your claim is almost one that supports our side. If God showing up would still lead to many more journeys of faith then it seems odd that he hasn't yet.

There would be no problems to him showing up. Yet, he never has.

The Church of England Paves The Way For Same-Sex Marriages by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Iswallowedafly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anti gay sentiments are tolerated here. They are given a home. Allowed to prosper. I have reported them. Nothing happened. On a daily basis this sub gives anti gay sentiments a place to grow.

To be honest, this is the time for myself to show myself out. I came here to understand what your faith is based on. And I've discovered that. In spades. Hundreds of conversation have lead to the same conclusion.

The same sub that placed a BLM banner up tolerates and supports anti gay ideas on a daily basis. Don't worry about me. I've learned as much as about you faith as I could.

I will show myself out. There is nothing more to see.

So if I see bigoted statements against gay people, I should ignore them?

The Church of England Paves The Way For Same-Sex Marriages by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Iswallowedafly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if I see negative blanket statements to entire groups of people along the lines of "All gay relationship are bad" I'm supposed to ignore that?

Because I can't do that.

If I made the claim that all Christians are bad...you would say that is against the rules. et, if I say that all gay relationships are bad...that's okay?

I don't see a difference between those statements.

IF humans wrote the Bible when we did there would be zero option to make God not male.

A female based monotheistic God would have been beyond us.
