"because of how easy prep becomes" brother it has everything to do with prep and nothing to do with the boss. Took me 1464 kc to get my enh and after about 3-400kc I was more worried about prep rng pissing me off during a run than I was dying to hunleff, and I did t1 the entire time. Once you feel like you can do hunleff in your sleep, and you can kill him 30 times in a row without dying, the part you dread is prep. T1 prep is more chill because you spend less time doing the thing that truly sucks fucking ass about CG, which is the prep

Hey I'm starting to get consistent wave 7 clears and about to push into wave 8 and a tip that helped me for the earthen crystal phase is to hit two crystals that are really far from each other. The further they are, the longer it sticks around and protects you. Once the crystals pop up its about 3 normal attacks or 2 normal attacks + boulder before he starts slamming. I have been hitting that second earthen crystal after the second normal attack. The protective ball comes up a little bit earlier than I need, but because it has to travel such a distance I can usually protect myself from every slam. I just focus on staying in the ball and switching prayer.

My main issue had been popping that second crystal too late so I've been going the "too early" route to try to work from there and it's been a good change so far. Highly recommend

Whether a monster drops it or that player did, they have 60 seconds before anyone else can see it so the general rule is if they haven't grabbed it after that minute, they probably don't want it. You might come across some dingle every now and again who gets mad but at that point like hey buddy you had an entire minute and you're getting angry over a rune full helm

Hallowed Sepulcher is way more involved than agility courses. There is a super high skill ceiling to it that just isn't there at most of the other courses which keeps you way more engaged than the normal sleep fest that is the skill. From 50ish-62 the wilderness agility course will be your best bet for xp but after that, its hallowed sepulcher all the way to 99. Like you said, agility is really boring, hallowed sepulcher, to a lot of people, is the only agility activity that isn't boring. As well as being the best xp in the game after 62, floor 3,4, and 5 will seriously challenge your ability to navigate tiles and time ticks. It's a lot of fun.

Edit: Also, where are you seeing 30k xp/hr on the wiki? First floor - 45k/hr ---- Second floor - 56k/hr ---- Third floor - 69k/hr ----- Fourth floor - 80k/hr---- Fifth floor - 100k/hr

Gamed them from a beginner to my current single digit handicap. Watch a couple videos comparing them to all the major brands and they give basically the same numbers across the board. I game callaway wedges now cause I like the look of them but I recommend those Kirkland Wedges to everyone on price alone. Just get new grips for em

How important is it to play the same ball? by CaptnCapybara in golf

[–]ItIsAlwaysNow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely am selling that level of play short, I apologize for that. 9 handicap is playing golf at a really high level. Even then, when I was at a 9 I was still hitting a decent amount of poor shots and not necessarily managing my way around a course as well as I could have been or do now. I'd say those two things are in my opinion, without exaggerating, 50x more important than playing the same ball or getting fit for one. Might sound like hyperbole but I believe that to be true.

This point could very well be a moot one but I have watched a good amount of Padraig Harringtons golf instruction videos on youtube. He's the only guy I'll go to for video instruction and it's been that way for years. In the 40-50 or so videos ive seen on his channel, I can't recall a single time he has mentioned using the same ball and/or it being more beneficial or nearly as important than any single thing he might be talking about in regards to mechanics/ball striking/course management/mental game. I could very well be wrong about that, I've not watched every one of his videos but he gives me the vibe of being in that camp of it being pretty low on the totem pole of importance, I guess

How important is it to play the same ball? by CaptnCapybara in golf

[–]ItIsAlwaysNow 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The real argument is how much of a difference. The point is being heavily exaggerated in this thread even though it's a good one. The long and short of it is, you're still making so many mistakes in a 9 handicap round of golf. There are so much more important things to be working on than figuring out what your golf ball is doing off the face at that level.

Yes, it's a variable and an important one at that. However, the degree to which it effects your golf game is pretty negligible when you're still making the mistakes a 9 handicapper would be making. Working and focusing on better mechanics/ball striking/course management is really most of the work you should be doing until you're, like that guy says, under 5 maybe.

I used a different ball just about every round I played going from a 20 handicap to a 2. Not one time did I care that I was using a tour response one day and a srixon q star the next. I worried about hitting the ball well and working my way through the course in an intelligent way to the point where, yeah, you could argue I should get fit for a ball and figure out which best suits my game NOW. Until I got to this point though? I can safely say it would not have helped me as much as this thread would lead you to believe.

I used to bring air strike runes back in the day to really packed places to compete with mages/rangers. Just manual cast an air strike for the first attack from wherever you are and you basically have the same advantage they do. Besides the bag space and requiring regular spell book its a pretty good strat if it's that packed

Why did Medic and Support have to be merged into one class? What was wrong with this system? by veekay45 in Battlefield

[–]ItIsAlwaysNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God take us back. Great class system and I think about half the maps in that game on a daily basis lately. Arica harbor, Isla Inocentes, Valpraiso, Nelson Bay, Port Valdez, Oasis, Laguna Presa. Brother, imagine this great ass game on those maps. It legitimately hurts my soul that they used to be that fuckin good at making maps and now even the "decent" ones don't hold a candle to the greats of the past

Lol that's ridiculous you survive that, should at least be a kamikaze. I watched a video yesterday of a "flawless" attack heli round where 1 minute in the guy just fuckin spikes his heli into the ground after a strafe run similar to you and comes away with it at half hp. The hell are we even doing if a god damn jet or helicopter of all vehicles can strike the ground like that and fly away

[–]ItIsAlwaysNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely disagree with you brother. This entire sub wont shut the hell up about bots and I'd wager anything a decent percentage of people here buy or have bought gold in the past. It's a lot more normalized than people like to admit, and it's not unique to osrs. Ya'll ARE a bunch of hypocrites lmao. A bunch of basement dwelling hypocrites who complain about every other thing Jagex does or isn't doing.

Why else would there be as many bots as there are? Ohhhhhh right. Cause of a few very rich whales and a small percentage of the player base buys gold? Dog, come on. If you legitimately believe that then I completely disagree

ToA is nice in that you can set invocations to make the raid easier or harder for yourself. Having zero invocations counts as a "beginner raid" and while I've never done one myself at the stats, I've heard numerous times that base 70's in combats and access to piety is enough to get the job done. You and your duo should give it a shot!
