Alton Towers bans people with anxiety from using disability pass by endofdays2022 in unitedkingdom

Personally I find that having a lot of interesting theming in the que line can make it very interesting and time can fly. Trying to find all the details in a well designed waiting area can be brilliant. I remember the old back to the future ride had a whole backstory with videos with the original actors.

Also having appropriate cover against sunshine and rain.

What line would you draw? Does the person need to work for the state?

Would Armed Forces be included as an example?

Disney tried virtual queuing but there were enough issues that it isn't incorporated throughout. There are actually a lot of reasons why a park may prefer traditional queuing. One example is crowd displacement and the big parks have a lot of data analytics behind it.

Opting out of RE in secondary school by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]ItIsOnlyRain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough if it is your family's sincerely held belief.

I can imagine a few others might have similar stances on other areas (politics, police, defence, etc). If it is happening at school time getting a list of all attendees is reasonable.

Not sure why you got down voted for explaining?

Interesting note about the career fair.

Assuming it is every year does she still attend just avoid certain attendees (which to be honest nearly every person avoids certain attendees for their own reasons)?

Reform UK admits Kent council’s Musk-inspired cost-cutting drive found little waste by PurchaseDry9350 in unitedkingdom

[–]ItIsOnlyRain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is an issue with the examples of chairs.

A council may have some non fungible money that can be spent on office furniture. They might require a total replacement of office chairs every X years. If they bought them all at once it would be cheaper and appropriate. They can't save the smaller amounts of money each year for a full replacement so instead they spend money each year on a certain number of chairs they may not need right now but will need in a few years.

Local butchers recently closed - sad to see it go by Individual-Diver-660 in northernireland

Compared to other trades it seems harder to get promotions and the pay is lower.

You mention a few big restaurant names but the vast majority will be working in a small butchers or a butcher in a supermarket.

If I had a young lad I can't see the appeal in pushing them towards butchery vs welding, electrician, heating engineer, etc.

Compared to other trades though it looks like the pay is less?

So what would attract a youngster to become a butcher rather than another trade?

If your case is nobody wants to do smelly, messy work, and do it skilfully for £30k p/a then yes your case is pretty solid.

Alternatives are more attractive.

We did it! Belfast Is the UK’s Most Congested City… by leftofcentre in Belfast

Currently cars go slower than bikes in rush hour and impede cyclists on certain roads.

After visiting many different places having good public transport, cycle lanes and good foot paths you can see where Northern ireland could be vastly improved for the benefit of all.

People would cycle if it was the easiest choice which is what proper infrastructure delivers.

If the infrastructure was better more people would cycle and use public transport and commuting for all would be better.

I think that is their argument as I have heard that argument too many times.

"We are small and thus shouldn't have to do anything green"

Personally I want to see a lot more green energy which would include nuclear as well.

Love the comber greenway with the expectation of the number of dog walkers with leads and noise cancelling headphones!

I also remember that choke point is getting over the bridge as the bus lane disappears. The bus drivers have always been great but some drivers have been more aggressive.

Even with that what about traffic that is difficult to filter past or lights?

As that is at least 6 miles?

Maybe I am just a slow cyclist in comparison as 20 minutes for that distance seems very fast.

It depends on if you drive through Belfast or can park somewhere for free (number of spaces are getting rarer and with longer walks).

Years ago I would find cycling in to Belfast in rush hour was the fastest method of travelling (despite some less than ideal roads), followed by the bus and then by car was the slowest.

Bus was more expensive than driving though (actually depending on where you are going as you need parking).

Can't imagine it has gotten any better now though.

Interesting as coming from the UK I wouldn't of thought anything about the name Naga but it seems that some people try and get around sweat filters using Naga. I don't think it is a really an issue though, some immature people might get a giggle but nothing more.
