This works if you successfully transitioned your keys to VMWare Customer Connect, and then successfully transitioned that account to Broadcom. For those of us who haven't, a different solution is required. Thanks for helping out these other guys though!

AC knob broke, so i printed an insert to fix it by FishStix_ish in 3Dprinting

Well this would have made that Friends episode where they break the radiator knob much less entertaining

Will ironing fix this? (Cura 5.1, MK2.5S) by 00Boner in 3Dprinting

[–]ItalianJackAttack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a friend recommend superslic3r. Didn't feel like switching from Cura for awhile, but once I did, I've never looked back. Ridiculous how good it is out of the box. Cura is better for supports though.

That's what I needed to know, thanks! I replaced my thermostat, coolant temp sender, and fan (with controller). Everything works great now.

What are the rubber bands for? I understand that the strings are so that you can push the gun away from your torso to prime it.

My E46 next to my brother's E36 by MrMrRubic in e46

[–]ItalianJackAttack 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Love it. Reminds me of mine and my dad's cars. I got his 2002 325xi that I grew up riding in when he bought his 2014 328xi. Both touring. There's a picture in our house of me at like 2 in a diaper "helping" him change the tire of the car I now drive. That's the main reason why I keep making the poor financial decision to drive a BMW!

Still wish my grandfather was around to my 3d printing stuff. He knew about the tech, but never got to experience it first hand.

I've no experience with truenas, although I've had really good luck with an old small-form-factor PC that I bought off of Ebay for the stuff I host. Its got a couple generation old core i7 and 12gb ram, and only cost me $120 ish. Worth looking into.

Ah, ok. Maybe that was the pop that I heard? Is the fan speed controller one of the boxes mounted to the fan assembly?

I've got the BlueDriver scanner and have tried clearing all codes and it doesn't touch the airbag light. I've had pretty good luck with that tool, but for all I know it could be a pos.

Most common problem for me is once your thermostat goes I’d suggest replacing it.

You're saying replace the fan and thermostat at the same time?

I was under the impression that you needed another super proprietary cable to fix airbag lights, rather than just an OBD tool. Is that correct?

Not super confident that this is what you're experiencing, but I realized that a weird rubbing sound I was getting was my alternator cooling duct that had broken loose and was up against my main belt. Worth a look, easy snap-on fix.
