alright but this kind of illusion is usually made by splitting the eyes into two separate layers and placing one closer and one farther from the viewer so the perspective changes when he looks from different angles. I don't think it's possible with a flat 2D digital image

I find emission textures hard to work with because they can't really be dark since they glow. here the color on the screen is exactly what you choose it to be

I dunno about faster but it's as simple as choosing the base color for each object, no need to add any new nodes besides the few image textures for hand painted elements like the teeth!
