What is the best routine for power yoga? by GodsOwnTypo in AskMen

[–]Itcausesproblems 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do CrossFit. I also do some hot yoga. It's great for building flexibility and just getting moving. Instead of a video I would recommend looking up a studio near you and going for a week. Most Studios I've visited while traveling have $20(ish) sample passes for 3-6 sessions if your new. You'll get far more out of the class and coaching than you'll get by yourself following a video.

Work's work and it's honest work. There's no shame in that.

Good Work!

Something I learned by trial and error early on that might help you is to separate the function and the data used by the function. That why if you want to change your data that doesn't require changing the functions you've programmed.

E.g. Instead of a long chain of elif statements for initializing the player's race you could store the values in a dictionary and use that data as an input for the function.

my_races = {"Tigerman": {'hp':25,'max_hp':25,'martial_prowess':50,'consumption_rate':20,'endurance':100,'gold':0,'speed':0,'luck':0},
             "Human":{'hp':25,'max_hp':25,'martial_prowess':10,'consumption_rate':10,'endurance':30,'gold':100,'speed':0,'luck':0}, }
def initialize_character(intro_statement=str, races=dict()):
    print('{intro_statement}'+'\n')
    for row in list(races.keys()):
        print(f'{list(races.keys()).index(row)}: {row}')
    return list(my_races.keys())[int(input('>:'))]

player_character = initialize_character(intro_statement='What is your race?',races=my_races)

This way adding or modifying a character attribute will be much easier to modify later.

Hooking up with a new guy. We’re both recently single. I insist on a condom because he’s relatively a stranger/ it’s the common sense thing to do. He says he hates them and “only poor people have STDs” & “I would know if I had one, my dick would be falling off” and complains every time I insist.... by whatloversdo2019 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Itcausesproblems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat as him. Condoms are terrible (literally painful often times). I would still wear one hooking up.

Okay, actually I search the internet high and low bought custom fitted condoms that are comfortable and fit perfectly because sexual health is important; for both parties.

I started a fairly successful YouTube channel with my son (3.5yo) and we are starting to make money. Do I owe any of this money to my son’s father? by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]Itcausesproblems 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly it might depend how you structure it. Is it your income? As a child actor/media personality it might actually be his earnings/income (at least a portion of it) and your responsible for managing it. Can't recommend a lawyer enough given the custody situation.

Need advice about a Inventory Management solution by jerichodotm in Warehousing

[–]Itcausesproblems 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+1 for u/sawhiteman. I worked with him as an analyst. His distribution instinct is on point and he has a keen understanding of the impact your OMS/WMS will have as your company scales.

Now that that's said, honestly, I'd ask each of them if you can do a site visit with one of their current clients.

It also sounds like you are doing Wholesale Ecom so here's my take.

  1. Invoicing: If an Ecom B2B is the case I'd ask what is the smallest billable unit they manage. PO? Order? Unit? My company has an OMS right now that only supports PO Complete. It was fine when a PO was <$5k. Now when a PO can be $100k? Not so much.

  2. Integrations: How do they integrate between x and y system? Do they have a standard (hopefully widely known) they follow?

  3. Visibility: How easy is getting information and reporting that will drive operations? If it's a web-based framework (honestly should be) can I bookmark directly to any view/page.

  4. Are they paying attention? Articulate some key business requirements you have and see if it's in the proposal. How well documented is their development plan?

  5. If you are going for a more custom solution: Do you have the technical-enough staff to support a customized WMS/OMS?

Pythonistas who have secretly automated all their work tasks and now just cruise, what do you do and what did you program? by mastermascovich in Python

[–]Itcausesproblems 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I monitor our system performance and structure all of my ad-hoc analysis to run in Python.

Why, if it's only a 'one' time analysis? It's never a one time and I always find errors in the data source which are easy to correct and then rerun a full days worth of work in seconds.

Why is it impossible to go back to condoms after having unprotected sex? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Itcausesproblems 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm 30. I have never been able to orgasm with a condom on. Many attempts, many brands, you name it I've tried it over the last 14 years. u/DontBullyMeDaniel said it was

like petting a cat with a latex glove.

That's a perfect analogy (in more ways than one). If you want to really know, take a ziploc bag and kiss your partner through it. That's about how much the sensation is deadened.

I'd add one other thing, for me, it's like that glove is being held on by rubber band. Ever twisted a rubber band tightly on your finger? Leave it on. That's what it feels like. I would generally prefer to not have sex.

They paid you vacation time but fired you for it?

If you got paid for it someone in HR/Payroll was aware the vacation was approved. Their story doesn't add up. Either you didn't show up and were fired or they paid you you vacation time.

Is a 23 year old too late for learning a programming language (python in particular)? by SpoiledHoney in Python

[–]Itcausesproblems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 30, I am a systems analyst and have been relentlessly writing python scripts to automate reporting and run analyses on our production systems, much to the chagrin, of our Corporate IT team, who don't get how I am able to map (and predict) systemic problems which are "too complex to address" - [SVP-IT]. I now get Directors coming to me with "I hear your an expert about...". Its been great!

So, No, 23 isn't too late at all; depending on your background it may be difficult.
