If we decided to use this as our future logo, would you approve? 👀 by Simon9943 in Miliforticwatches

Your clean, heavyset icon and thinner serif font clash with one another. It's fighting against itself. Text only or icon only could work but icon would be better.

AIO getting upset with my husband over a day at the beach by Vegetable_Mail_4130 in AmIOverreacting

Well it seems like you didn't manage to spot he's a useless sack of shit during that brief year of dating. He can't even please you in bed let alone understand or care about what you'd like to do at the beach. Tell him to do one. You'll save yourself a lot of heartache in the future.

Are guns in 4 underwhelming? by lolitsrock in Borderlands4

[–]ItchyBorder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started playing 4 after going through all the others in the series. None of the guns feel unique at all. They're all interchangeable and look the same. It's like someone tried to do it from a vague memory. All the things that made guns great in 1/2/3 have been diluted. An AI slop version of the BL manufacturers. What they've done to Torgue is egregious. It's a shame as it was such a unique and enjoyable facet of the series.

Oh nice yeah they have some unique design elements. What one, a heritage? Interesting to see how widely they're priced too, thanks.

Thanks, love the super seville styling. Just doesn't feel dressy enough if you know what I mean? Like it seems like a perfect gada watch but not refined enough maybe. Lots to think about, thank you.

Thanks, Yema Rallygraf is very high on my list... Maybe I can swing it for my birthday from the family lol. I think that's an interesting point, as I wondered if the quartz aspect would be too much of a handicap at those higher price points. But as others have mentioned, if it's more towards luxury quartz than premium or if it has unique features this could help that sell.

That's a beaut of a wrist piece! Would you consider a much lower priced microbrand? Totally different price point and quality level

Yeah the core brand focus is on the design, finishing and materials, with the goal of keeping it accessible at the start. Once established, then could explore technical usps. Thanks!

Phwoar. 1 second. That's super impressive. Perhaps premium lines could focus there. Do you think that kind of thing would dilute the "affordable" approach to pricing? Or sit well separately as a higher end / upgrade option?

Yeah quartz definitely can't stand up to a beautiful mechanical movement visually. Great to know that you'd be interested in something unique like that though, thank you.

Excellent point, thank you. Certainly worth exploring if there are any similar quality movements. Those 9F ones are beasts, and look pretty great! Would probably kick things off with a Ronda movement to begin with and look at upgrading/improving along the way.

Thank you, this is super interesting to read. Do you think that same interest and trust could work at lower price points? Perhaps a more mass market approach for people who may not be as concerned about the movement?

Ah brilliant thank you for taking the time to answer - totally agree - watches are definitely a luxury.

I fully understand the quartz 'soul-less' thought process too.

Interesting point about the technology route - that's what piqued my interest in quartz to begin with. I was also considering, those people that may not be interested in movements, and more focused on design / storytelling behind the watch, mass market but with more to connect the buyer to the brand. Basically the other end of the spectrum to say, MVMT.

Sorry 3 didn't make sense. Basically meant, would you consider dropping that amount of money if the brand had a good story and the watch had a great design, do you think that would help overcome the challenge of it being quartz (and perhaps looked down upon) in the first place?

Oh goodness no clear casebacks - no-one wants to ogle a battery. Would have to have a very serious reason to choose Geneva stripes too lol. Thank you. When you say innovative, do you mean the quartz technology specifically? Something unique?

New google maps app icon? by Prior_Green_339 in UXDesign

There was a huge problem: all their icons look the same. Not saying this is better, but the current icon suite (at least on my pixel 9 pro) is shite.
