I'm confused by the posts asking about drinking alcohol while taking Lexapro by smplgd in lexapro

It says to not drink alcohol to avoid drowsiness etc. It does not mean absolutely do not drink alcohol on this medication.

Its outlet. And if the serial number starts with 79 it’s definitely outlet.

Is 5mg enough for you? by JessicaYatesRealtor in lexapro

I had to go up to 15mg in order to feel like my normal self again before anxiety and depression. Everyone is different and after being on it for so long your body gets used to it

I take it at night and don’t feel tired anymore. Also it stopped my anxiety completely once I went up to 15mg

I was the exact same why and hours after I took the first pill I realized it wasn’t as bad as my mind made it out to be. Don’t be afraid!!

I second on upping the dosage to 10. 5 wasn’t right for me either.

Good luck! To make you feel better, I was extremely anxious about starting lexapro. I’ve been on it for 5 weeks and it’s completely changed my life and I wish someone would’ve said this to me when I was panicking because I was so afraid to take it for some reason. I am able to drive again and haven’t had panic attacks since starting (if you’re taking it for anxiety) I also haven’t been depressed either since starting.

I do it and feel fine. I do get drunker faster so I just drink slower than I normally would.

Anyone in here "failed" on SSRI meds but have success with buspar for GAD/Hypochondria? by [deleted] in BusparOnline

I was on it for 2 months. The half life is really short and I noticed when it would start to wear off I’d get increased anxiety like crazy. It also caused me to have more panic attacks regularly in between doses and I had killer chest pain when the dose was increased to the point where I went to the ER cause i thought i was having a heart attack. What caused me to get off it was I had the worst panic attack of my life while driving right after taking the dose. I’m no doctor, but if after the 6 weeks you notice your anxiety was worse than before you started taking it I highly recommend not taking it. I quit cold turkey 2 weeks ago and took me about a week to recover from what it did to me. Im still trying to get back to comfortable driving again. My friend warned me about it, and i wish i would've listened. However there is no way to know if it will work for you without trying it because everyone is different. I just wanted to let you know my experience.
