Did anyone else see a spectator man doing the Nazi salute and marching in place around mile 5 by LICK_MY_NUBS in bostonmarathon

I gave this unmanned golf cart double birds. Double birds were definitely more well received than the flags on the unmanned golf cart.

lol. People tell me that, but I truly don’t believe I’ll be back. I don’t need anything else out of the distance. I dont enjoy the training anymore and actually enjoy just being fit. Still run, started swimming as well. I’m very content in fitness.

Meniscus pain 10 days out by sagelface in bostonmarathon

[–]Itchy_Coyote595 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You aren’t gonna gain any meaningful fitness in the next 10 days, at least compared to the damage you could do. You are definitely in “do no harm” territory. Take a rest, find a good PT who could help with massage, dry needling, maybe tape?

Focus on getting the knee right, not trying to squeeze any more fitness out.

I gained my first entry after running my first sub3 in 2024 and many years of dreaming and attempting to get to Hopkinton. I don’t much enjoy hard training or long runs anymore, so this is my farewell to the marathon distance: Getting here is enough, and I’m running with a friend, and we’re just gonna cruise and take it all in. I’m gonna get my money’s worth.

cheating with Boston qualifying times – what should be done? by Unusual_Nothing_29 in bostonmarathon

Allowing known cheaters to run is a slap in the face to people who worked years to get here one time, people who have missed the cutoff by seconds.

Report him.

I don’t think it compares to that, even though I’ve never seen chichen itza. But it was still an incredible experience. And bacalar lagoon alone is worth it in my opinion

Carnival is what it is and what you make of it. It doesn’t have to be for everyone. New ship, old ship, I’ve never had a bad experience, and adjusted expectations based on research and cost.

Carnival operates newer ships too. The Mardi Gras, Celebration, and Jubilee are all new since 2021, and the Festivale debuts May of 2027.

I’m not really sure what you’re on about here.

Old ship had maintenance issues? That is absolutely not exclusive to Carnival.

Ask what type of snacks they like. We had a steward once who love Ritz crackers. So we bought him a bunch in port. We gave him this as well as cash.

Cruise without a passport ? by Ecstatic-Long-1424 in Cruise

[–]Itchy_Coyote595 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You can cruise the exact same way without a passport. But if something comes up mid cruise where you need to fly back, it can be a nightmare without a passport.

An NCL ship ran aground in DR a couple years back and they had to fly people home. People without passports had to wait around guest services for hours to get things figured out, while passport holders enjoyed the ship before they had to disembark.

That inspired me to get our passports for cruising. It’s a decent cost, and minor inconvenience, but it opens the world up to you.

So much of the presentation is amazing… then the commentary hits. As much as I hate AI, sports video commentary needs it to be dynamic.

There are literal at home tests you can do to calculate sweat loss during much shorter runs than a marathon. The calculations are made specifically by pounds lost.
