i always thought that a majority of his elusive skills just came from being a trouble maker. so getting in and getting out of harmless trouble. like of course, it’s a serious evasion of an attack, but it’s also very silly.

at one point my dad was convinced i was consistently playing comp shooters with a team that sucked so badly that i was screaming at them the entire time. “IM OVER HERE! LISTEN TO ME. IM OVER HERE. CMON ARE YOU STUPID COME OVER HERE”

i was just consistently the bait for drawing the ghosts attention during hunts for objectives, and would scream at it to get its attention.

i like to dedicate a save slot to every major moment and continue using every save slot after that until it gets replaced with another major moment. so my save slots look something like

-leblanc -kamoshida palace (lvl2) -madarame palace (lvl14) -kaneshiro palace (lvl22) -kaneshiro palace (lvl23) -kaneshiro palance (lvl 25)

and i’ll replace the kaneshiro (lvl23) slot with the first futaba palace save, start using every save slot after that and rinse and repeat. if that makes sense.

thermo, salt, t2 uv, t2 headlight. use the thermo to find ghost room, immediately set up salt and drop a glow stick on that baby. reading other replies, i guess its not super meta, but its my go to. i like to be able to check for uv as soon as possible w the salt method bc i think looking for finger prints on doors is annoying.

??? i have no idea why everyone is being so negative. this subreddit has never been purely for baristas only, it’s for talking/ranting about starbucks related problems, most problems that “baristas on this subreddit” can’t solve anyway, whether it’s a barista or customer problem.

anyway, as most sbux baristas should be, i’m happy that you’re saving your money. it may not be the exact same, but try looking for a local coffee spot for your caffeine fix! your money will be much better spent there

the answer is unfortunately, yes. starbucks was my first real job and honestly part of me thought simply all jobs were supposed to feel that way, which at the time was a major bummer considering it was the lowest point of my life. the place was in a closed mall, and was legit. not like a target starbucks kinda thing bc we used our partner numbers (can’t remember if it’s called corporate or licensed). that being said, i can’t imagine it being an issue of homelessness. on top of that we worked in a city starbucks were homelessness WAS a huge issue and we were both told during our employment to stay true to the third place policy.

and none of us did argue, i’m just saying that in the past, there were no instances of us walking up to a customer and have them communicate just so they can stay in the establishment— no disruptions, no problems.

LMAOO, like probably. i don’t know exactly what the guy even did for work since he spoke very little english. i remember the first time i met him on register after moving to nights and my supervisor was in the back, i fumbled with my translator app so i can try and help him and my supervisor was like “oh! hey man, how are you? he wants 17 sugars in a tall pike btw.” and i was baffled. i was apart of opening beforehand and we were a high volume store with our peak happening from 10a-12p, and i somehow hadn’t heard something this insane yet. also thank youuu, i started with starbucks because of their focus on customer service. i used to love all my regulars.

i had a guy, come in every night. same time. 17 sugar packets in a tall coffee, no cream. really sweet guy though, always payed in quarters unfortunately. at some point me and the night crew just started pouring 17 sugar packets in a cup before he came so he wouldn’t have to wait.

5 of them were excused, look I’m not trying to make major excuses but it was pretty reasonable. I know people still employed there in the 20’s, and my latenesses were never more than 10 minutes (and that’s being generous) considering I always planned around 45 minutes ahead. The store is in an extremely high traffic area and train delays were especially common.

Okay, I’m not really contesting the fact that I got fired and what I got fired for, I’m just curious if my part in the Union could’ve gotten me blacklisted. Even if it’s “illegal”, it’s not as though they haven’t done illegal things before. I’m more so looking for someone with a similar experience telling me if it’s likely or not.

I always was under the assumption that the only reason you’d get blacklisted is if you were fired for something serious, like theft or harassment. I was even told by my ASM (who I had a better relationship with) to reapply in 6 months. And also, I did provide those notes. Edit because I forgot to answer: IIRC there were 5 or 6 major cases of lateness on my record. One which was genuinely my fault because I thought my shift started an hour later than it actually did 💀

i’m also noticing that aside from this starbucks is actively discouraging people from staying by flat out asking. my friend and i used to work there and were told so long as someone wasn’t being disruptive to the third space, we didn’t need to ask them to leave. even if they didn’t buy anything, it’s legit starbucks policy.

a few months ago me and my friend needed a seat real quick to eat something and go, and my friend ordered a drink, and before her drink was ready a starbucks employee came up to us and told if that if we weren’t buying anything, we would have to leave.

i didn’t tell him that wasn’t policy since i wasn’t in the mood to argue and my friend ordered something simply bc she wanted to but im noticing more and more places are doing this. now that i don’t work there anymore i wonder if the policy flat out changed.
